Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use is the new system that turns expired limited-time-only Sanity Meds into Sanity automatically. If your Sanity bar is already full, the excess can become non-expiring Sanity Essences through Sanity Extractors, but there are conditions where expiring Meds are still destroyed.
If you tend to save limited Sanity items for later, the new feature is helpful, but it isn’t unlimited storage. Your current Sanity, available Extractors and Essence capacity decide whether anything is lost when medicine expires.
Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use: how it works

What happens when a limited-time Sanity Med expires?
When an eligible LTO Sanity Med reaches its expiry, the system automatically converts it into Sanity. You don’t have to manually consume that expiring item at the moment it reaches its deadline for the new feature to attempt the conversion.
The Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use feature specifically applies to limited-time-only medicines. The announcement doesn’t say all ordinary Sanity medicines now disappear or automatically convert, so check which type of item is sitting in your inventory.
What if you’re already at the Sanity cap?
The next step depends on your Sanity total. If the conversion cannot fit because the Sanity limit has been reached, the surplus can be made into Sanity Essences. That process uses Sanity Extractors, and the resulting Essences do not expire.
The important difference is between your main Sanity limit and your capacity to store Essences. A full Sanity bar doesn’t automatically mean an expiring Med is lost, provided the required Extractors and Essence storage are available.
When can expired Meds be destroyed?
The Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use system has a failure case. If your Sanity is capped and you have no Sanity Extractors, any remaining expiring limited medicines that cannot convert are destroyed. The same applies if you cannot hold more Sanity Essences.
Auto-use doesn’t bypass your storage limits. Before limited Meds expire, look at the Sanity bar, your Extractors and how much Essence you can still hold. Otherwise, the remaining medicine can be destroyed.
Expiration flow at a glance
Sanity below its limit: expiring LTO medicines convert to Sanity until the limit is reached. Excess with Extractors and Essence capacity: surplus converts to non-expiring Sanity Essences. Excess without an Extractor or Essence space: leftover expiring medicine is destroyed.
That sequence is what the game uses when limited medicines expire. The update doesn’t give a universal Extractor conversion rate or specify a manual toggle, so check your inventory for the available capacity.
Is Sanity Supply the same feature?
No. Sanity Supply is a separate limited-time event, scheduled to begin November 18, 2026. It awards Sanity Usage Permits and Emergency Sanity Boosters through daily missions. Those rewards are not the same thing as the limited-time Sanity Meds covered by auto-use.
Sanity Supply also has region-specific event dates. The update lists November 25 at 04:00 server time for Asia and November 24 at 17:00 server time for Americas/Europe as their respective endings. Don’t combine that calendar with an individual medicine’s item-expiry timer.
Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use: what to do before expiry
If you have LTO Sanity Meds expiring soon, spend some Sanity if convenient and make sure you have Extractors and room for Essences. The automatic conversion can preserve value, but it cannot overcome exhausted capacity.
The Arknights Endfield Sanity Meds auto use system can rescue expiring items you forgot about. A full Sanity bar doesn’t have to mean a loss, but you still need Extractors and room for Essence.
