AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone Revelation: Hard Mode Sources and Rewards

AION 2 Kina

AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation is available through Krao Cave Hard and Draupnir Hard after the October 21 update. NC confirms both a chance to receive the Bound item and an option to choose it as a guaranteed reward, although the patch notes do not specify every condition for that selection.

That makes the new Hard Mode dungeons the relevant place to look for Revelation stones. The important question is how the two reward routes differ, and which requirements must be met before you can attempt a run.

Where to get Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation

Both Krao Cave Hard and Draupnir Hard list AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation (Bound) among the new rewards. Characters must meet the item-level requirement of 2,600 to enter these Hard Mode Expeditions.

NC has not given a drop percentage for Revelation stones or restricted them to a named boss in the published announcement. Both Krao Cave Hard and Draupnir Hard are confirmed sources.

AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation is listed as Bound, so check the reward itself before planning to transfer it elsewhere.

How the guaranteed reward works

NC lists two ways to obtain the Bound Revelation stone in Hard Mode: it can appear as a chance-based reward, or it can be selected as a guaranteed reward. The guaranteed route is a separate option, not a promise that every ordinary completion drops a stone.

The patch does not specify when the guaranteed selection becomes available, whether previous runs are required, or whether a weekly restriction applies. Before planning a farming schedule for AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone, check what the reward-selection interface offers to your character.

Hard Mode entry and difficulty rules

Krao Cave and Draupnir both require item level 2,600 on Hard Mode. The boss Frenzy timer is set to four minutes, while each player can revive a maximum of three times during an attempt.

For repeat AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone runs, your party will need to handle both limits. The patch gives the restrictions, but individual Hard Mode attacks and phases are best learned from the relevant encounter.

What else can you collect?

While farming for AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation, Hard Mode can also reward Ariel Fragments, with different types assigned by dungeon. The update adds a chance to obtain Expedition Hero Artwork and awards more Kina than Normal Mode. Unique crafting materials include Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will and Wrathful Ego.

NC has also added Hard Mode achievements that provide Unique Skins, along with an Expedition Hero Artwork Collector achievement. Those alternative objectives mean a clear may move your progression forward even when a chance-based Revelation stone does not appear.

Which Expedition is best for farming?

Both dungeons offer AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation (Bound), but NC has not published different drop rates. Pick the run that also meets your other goals, such as collecting a specific Ariel Fragment.

One confirmed distinction is the Ariel Fragment type available from each dungeon. If you are also preparing the new Ariel Daevanion board, select your runs around the fragments you want. AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone acquisition and Ariel fragment conversion are related rewards, but not the same system.

What does Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation do?

The game’s item description says the stone is used on Soul Bound equipment to awaken new abilities. That gives you a reason to seek it once you have a piece of Soul Bound gear worth developing. The item description does not list a universal success chance or every possible bonus.

For AION 2 Philosopher’s Stone use, first check that your intended piece of equipment is already Soul Bound. You can see the item’s text in the AION 2 item database, which reproduces the description from game data.

How to prepare without wasting resources

First get your equipment to item level 2,600 and check the Hard Mode reward-selection screen to see whether the guaranteed stone is offered to your character. Then plan around the four-minute Frenzy timer and three-revive allowance for each player.

The Revelation stone’s item description says it can awaken new abilities on Soul Bound gear. It is a gear-progression item, not a currency for the Ariel board. For other progression resources, see the Kina and Odyle Energy guides linked below.
