Warframe Tau cosmetics include Koumei Enshoujo Deluxe, arriving with the free expansion in December 2026, and a new Nezha Heirloom planned for early 2027. Digital Extremes also revealed a new Chimera Skin category associated with Brysko.
The October showcase gave a first in-game look at Koumei’s Deluxe design, concept art for Nezha Heirloom and an introduction to Brysko’s new Chimera Skin category. They’re separate cosmetic releases, and each has a different role.
Warframe Tau cosmetics: release dates compared
Digital Extremes confirmed December 2026 for Koumei Enshoujo Deluxe alongside the Tau expansion, while Brysko introduces the Chimera Skin cosmetic category. The new Nezha Heirloom is scheduled for early 2027. Nezha’s skin is not part of the December launch.
The developer showcased the looks ahead of their release, rather than announcing a full list of prices and bundle contents. Tau itself is free, so buying a new appearance isn’t a requirement for exploring the new Star Chart.
When does Koumei Enshoujo Deluxe release?
Koumei Enshoujo is her first Deluxe Skin, arriving with Tau in December. Digital Extremes showed the design in-game during Devstream 198. Its femme-fatale styling takes cues from the noir atmosphere of Fornax.
Koumei is already playable; Enshoujo changes her appearance rather than turning her into a different Warframe. The first image here shows Koumei’s original design, not the upcoming Enshoujo skin. Digital Extremes showed the new look in-game during Devstream 198.
Warframe Tau cosmetics: Nezha Heirloom timing
Nezha Heirloom is scheduled for early 2027, not for the December Tau launch. The October broadcast showed concept art for the new appearance, giving players their first look at the design.
The design comes from Mati Tapia and Stephan Sotelting of Sumo Digital alongside Digital Extremes. The exact day and purchase details have not been announced. Nezha’s Heirloom is a separate release from Koumei’s Deluxe Skin.
Koumei’s Deluxe was shown as an in-game model, while the Nezha Heirloom reveal was concept artwork. The second image here shows an earlier, official Nezha Prime appearance instead of a finished Heirloom model. It’s an illustration of the character, not the new design.
What is the new Brysko Chimera Skin?
Digital Extremes introduced Chimera Skins as a new cosmetic class led by Brysko. He’s the 67th Warframe, and his detective-style inner monologue is voiced by Matthew Mercer. The reveal confirms the cosmetic category but doesn’t specify its full range of designs, prices or an independent unlock process.
Brysko is the detective-inspired Warframe central to Tau’s new quest. His Hound, Rain & Shine fists and Corecracker pistol are part of the combat reveal. Our Brysko guide covers his equipment and the confirmed ways to unlock him.
Will the Warframe Tau cosmetics be free?
Tau is a free update across supported platforms. These Warframe Tau cosmetics are optional customisations, not an admission fee. The official reveal hasn’t supplied a complete price list for their individual store offers.
For players choosing which announcement to follow, Koumei Enshoujo is the December skin reveal, Nezha Heirloom is an early 2027 design and Chimera is the new cosmetic class tied to Brysko. The October Devstream treated them as different announcements, not one collection.
When will there be more Warframe Tau cosmetics news?
Digital Extremes has another Tau Devstream scheduled for 27 November 2026, with more reveals ahead of the update. Our Tau release date guide covers the confirmed free expansion and its platforms.
The Warframe Tau cosmetics announced so far give Koumei fans a December Deluxe Skin to look forward to and Nezha fans an early 2027 Heirloom. Brysko brings the new Chimera Skin category alongside Tau. Each appearance is optional; the game update remains free.
