Ghost Sandwiches are the event currency for Identity V’s Feast of the New Moon Halloween event. Earn them by completing story acts, playing matches and finishing the Secret Brew colour-sorting puzzle, then spend them on Midnight Gourmand and the other limited-time rewards before November 4, 2026.
The best order is to collect the fixed story rewards, finish each day’s Secret Brew stages and let matches top up the balance. The match allowance carries forward when you skip a day, while the puzzle has a separate 10-sandwich daily cap.
How to get Ghost Sandwiches quickly
Start with Story Experience. Its seven acts pay 10 Ghost Sandwiches each, giving you 70 altogether. Finish the full story for the Feast of the New Moon room music as well. Every act is now available, so there’s no need to hold off on catching up.
Matches provide a further pool of up to 140 Ghost Sandwiches. Rewards vary with the match mode and outcome, and matches only pay when you meet the minimum completion requirement. Play through your matches normally, then collect the currency earned from eligible results.
How the match earning limit works
Combat rewards use a daily limit, but unused allowance carries forward. That means you do not automatically lose your chance to earn the full 140 when you skip a day. You can return on a day when you have more playing time and continue collecting from the remaining combat pool.
The unused match allowance rolls forward; the daily Secret Brew cap does not. Make the puzzle part of your daily event routine, then use matches to gather anything left from the combat pool. Story rewards can be collected separately and aren’t affected by how many matches you’ve played.
Secret Brew: 10 Ghost Sandwiches per day
Secret Brew awards Ghost Sandwiches for clearing new stages of the liquid-sorting minigame. Choose one cup, then a second cup with the same colour at the top and enough room to receive it. Keep sorting until every cup is filled with a single colour. This completes the current stage.
You can play the puzzle as many times as you like, but the event only awards up to 10 Ghost Sandwiches per day through this activity. Once you’ve reached that amount, additional rounds won’t increase that day’s puzzle earnings. Return on the following day for another opportunity to collect the puzzle’s currency.
What can you buy with Ghost Sandwiches?
The Feast of the New Moon exchange shop contains six rewards: Puppeteer, Midnight Gourmand (A-rarity costume); Fool’s Gold, Night Cook (B-rarity costume); Survivor, Crescent Elixir (B-rarity accessory); the Pumpkin Party portrait frame; and the Expectation and Refuse stickers.
These are direct exchanges, not random drops. Midnight Gourmand costs 130 Ghost Sandwiches, while Night Cook costs 40. The seven story acts give you 70, enough for Night Cook on their own. If you’re saving for Midnight Gourmand, collect another 60 through matches and Secret Brew before spending on other shop items.
What happens if you don’t spend them?
Ghost Sandwiches stop functioning as the Halloween exchange currency after November 4, 2026 at 23:59. NetEase says unused sandwiches convert automatically into Clues at a 1:2 ratio. For example, 15 unused sandwiches become 30 Clues. You’ll get that conversion, but it is not the same as obtaining the limited costume or accessory.
The Halloween Spyglass Event Shop runs longer, until November 11, but it uses an entirely different currency. You cannot treat leftover Ghost Sandwiches as Spyglasses, and the November 11 deadline does not extend the Feast of the New Moon exchange period.
Can you get the rewards without buying Echoes?
Yes. You can collect Ghost Sandwiches from story chapters, matches and Secret Brew without buying Echoes. Daily Flavor’s Retro Check-in uses Inspirations to recover missed login rewards, but it is not part of the Ghost Sandwich earning route.
Claim any unfinished story rewards, clear new Secret Brew stages and use your remaining match allowance before returning to the exchange shop. Spend your sandwiches by November 4; otherwise they’ll be turned into Clues rather than a Halloween costume or accessory.
