ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points: Locations, Best Weapons and How to Kill It

ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points are best exploited by targeting its vulnerable body or disabling its spherical legs, not by repeatedly shooting its heavily armoured tail rifle. The Skulker is the small, fast ARC introduced with Frozen Trail on October 8. It hides in the snow on Pendola Pass, flashes a red targeting laser and fires a damaging burst before retreating to another angle.

The fight becomes much more manageable if you let it come to you. Get behind solid cover when you see the laser, hit a leg as it pauses to aim, then shoot the body once it has trouble moving. Here’s how the different parts work, where to look for Skulkers and what to loot after the kill.

ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points: which parts to shoot

The body has around 230 health according to current community combat data. Each leg has roughly 125 health, while the small thruster has about 40 and the tail weapon considerably more, around 1,000. A precision shot into the body can finish the machine quickly, but breaking legs first makes it easier to pin down a moving target.

ComponentReported healthWhy target it?
Body230Best target for quickly destroying it
Each spherical leg125Disrupts movement
Small thruster40Weak movement component
Tail-mounted weaponAbout 1,000Disables attack if destroyed, but expensive to break

The most forgiving ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points approach is to hit a leg or thruster from cover, then finish the exposed body. Shooting the tail gun can help when you can’t reach any other part, but isn’t usually the most efficient way to spend ammunition. Embark confirms the Skulker was introduced in 2.0; the numbers above are from community item data rather than an official damage chart.

ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points and the red laser attack

When the Skulker picks a target, its tail rifle paints a red laser across the player before firing a short burst. Treat that laser as a warning to move behind a building corner or rock. Staying exposed while trying to line up a long shot can cost far more health than the Skulker itself has.

After firing, the enemy often slides away into cover and attempts another angle. Don’t immediately chase around an unseen corner. Keep your position, reload and wait for the next opening. The ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points become easiest to hit when the machine stops to aim and briefly gives up its main movement advantage.

Where Skulkers spawn on Pendola Pass

Community maps list 14 Skulker spawn markers, all on Pendola Pass. Useful search areas include Northern Tracks and the Frozen River, the Commissary Supermarket region, and southern routes towards Freight Terminal, Southern Pass and Old Hamlet. A map marker is a reported spawn area, not a guarantee that the enemy hasn’t already been killed.

For a straightforward search, approach Northern Tracks from Almatera Station, listening for movement beside rocky paths. Alternatively, check the southern road near Freight Terminal and Old Hamlet. Skulkers can also hide near Ballistic Gondola transceivers, so inspect rocks around an extraction rather than charging straight into a hidden turret.

If you’re hunting ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points for a quest or research materials, our Pendola Pass map explains the routes and Tracks of the Beast guide covers the investigation involving these enemies.

Best weapons for ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points

An accurate Anvil, Renegade or similar precision weapon is a good fit for the exposed small body. A Hullcracker can deliver heavy damage but isn’t essential for an enemy with a relatively fragile centre. Choose a weapon you can afford to lose while exploring, particularly when the rest of your raid includes tougher ARC.

Solo Raiders should let the Skulker mark them, break line of sight, then fire into a leg as the enemy stops before shooting. In a squad, one person can stay behind cover and keep its attention while another attacks the spherical legs. Be careful that your team isn’t standing in one line when the tail rifle bursts.

The ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points strategy is different from fighting a Bully or Hydra: a Skulker relies on ambushes and repeated repositioning, not a long frontal damage exchange. Our Bully, Skulker and Hydra overview compares the new Frozen Trail encounters.

Skulker Targeter, Skulker Driver and other drops

The destroyed Skulker has multiple loot points, including the body and base of its tail. Its distinctive drops include the Uncommon Skulker Targeter and a Skulker Driver, as well as normal ARC salvage. Search all available interactions on the wreck before deciding you missed the item you wanted.

Targeters are important for Research Station level 2 and have also appeared in Season 6 Trials. The Research Bench guide explains the station, while Trials Season 6 covers rotating challenges. An easy Skulker kill is only worth the materials if you can extract with the loot afterwards.

ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points: mistakes to avoid

Don’t empty a whole magazine into the tail gun while the body is exposed. Don’t sprint after a retreating Skulker when you don’t know what waits around the next rock. Most importantly, watch the red laser and return behind cover before its burst, even when the enemy appears almost dead.

When farming ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points, remember that the machine blends into pale snowy ground. Listen for its movement and look for the shape of a small tail-mounted turret beside rocks. It can turn a routine extraction into a dangerous fight if you only notice it after the laser appears.

For ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points fights near an extraction, avoid looting the wreck while a second Skulker is lining up a shot. Clear the immediate area before checking the tail and body separately.

For ARC Raiders Skulker Weak Points near an extraction, watch the red targeting laser before looting the wreck. A second Skulker can be waiting near the same approach.
