Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head returns for Halloween 2026 with a new Partbreaker (Halloween) skill that becomes ten times stronger while the event runs from October 26 to November 8. Normally the skill adds 5% accumulated damage to breakable monster parts; with the event boost, that particular bonus increases to 50%.
To forge Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head, get Reissue Halloween Forging Tickets from the MH Now Halloween 2026 I quests, then open the armour forge to make your Jack-o’-Head. Upgrade tickets are sold in the event Exchange Hubs. Make sure you actually equip the helmet as armour: using it only as a layered appearance won’t activate any of its skills.
Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head: New 2026 skills

The returning headpiece now provides Partbreaker (Halloween), Advanced Partbreaker and Pursuit. Its former Solidarity (Halloween) skill has been removed. The event multiplies only the Halloween-specific Partbreaker effect, not the ordinary Partbreaker skill or the damage dealt directly to a monster’s overall health bar.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| Partbreaker (Halloween) | Normally +5% accumulated damage to breakable parts, rising tenfold during Halloween |
| Advanced Partbreaker | Additional part-break-related armour skill, not included in the 10× rule |
| Pursuit | Third armour skill, not included in the 10× rule |
The Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head is particularly good during a part-break event because breaking monster parts awards double materials. Both normal Halloween Exchange Tokens and special EX Tokens can also be earned from part breaks, which rewards precise targeting alongside completing the hunt.
How to get Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head forging tickets
After October 26 at 9 AM local time, complete the game’s prologue if you haven’t already, then open MH Now Halloween 2026 I in the Special Quests menu. The relevant challenges give Reissue Halloween Forging Tickets, required for Jack-o’-Head, Ghost Balloon and certain returning Halloween weapons.
- Finish the prologue to unlock seasonal event quests.
- Open Halloween 2026 I in the Special Quests menu.
- Complete the featured hunt objectives for Reissue Halloween Forging Tickets.
- Open the armour forge and check your Jack-o’-Head requirements.
- Use the tickets and other required materials to forge the equipment.
Players who own a Jack-o’-Head from a previous Halloween should check the existing piece in their equipment menu before trying to forge another. For new players, the forging quest supplies the event ticket; the exact materials still needed are shown in the forge.
How to upgrade Jack-o’-Head with Armor Upgrade Tickets
Halloween Armor Upgrade Tickets are sold at the Halloween 2026 and EX Exchange Hubs. During the reduced-material period from October 26 through November 15, the tickets can cover certain upgrade grades without the usual zenny or gathering materials. Some grades may still require additional components.
After November 15, Halloween Weapon and Armor Upgrade Tickets stop being required, but the quantities and types of regular materials increase. For the Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head, upgrading during the event can therefore be less demanding than waiting until the special discount ends.
Does Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head layered armour activate Partbreaker?

No. You must equip the Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head in your active armour slot. Selecting only the cosmetic layered appearance doesn’t give you Partbreaker (Halloween), Advanced Partbreaker or Pursuit. If the armour skill list still appears unchanged after the update, the developer says restarting the app may help apply the new effect.
The part-break multiplier is active only during the October 26–November 8 event. You keep the forged armour afterwards, but the Halloween Partbreaker skill returns to its regular 5% effect outside the boosted period. Regular Partbreaker is never multiplied tenfold by the festival modifier.
Best hunts for the Halloween Partbreaker bonus
The reason to wear Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head during the event is simple: more accumulated part damage means more chances to break a monster’s parts before it dies. Halloween doubles those part-break rewards, and broken parts can provide extra event tokens. Prioritise hunts where you can reliably reach and break at least one part.
During Part II, beginning November 2, pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku can drop EX Exchange Tokens. Kulu-Ya-Ku’s head and forelegs are breakable according to the official monster guide, making them straightforward targets for an outfit focused on part breaking. The armour isn’t mandatory for the seasonal currencies, but its effect can help you earn additional break rewards.
Monster Hunter Now Jack-o’-Head deadlines and other Halloween rewards
Halloween hunting ends on November 8 at 11:59 PM local time, while reduced upgrade requirements and the Exchange Hub last until November 15. Spend your tickets and currency while the hub is open. If you’re hunting the Harvest Cloak, remember it uses ordinary Halloween 2026 Exchange Tokens, while the pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku rewards use EX Tokens.
For a full list of the seasonal dates and monster appearances, see our Halloween 2026 event guide. The Harvest Cloak uses ordinary event tokens, while pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku give EX Tokens from November 2.
