Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku appear from November 2 at 9 AM local time, during the second half of Halloween 2026. They carry pumpkin-shaped rocks instead of ordinary ones, and defeating them or breaking their parts earns Halloween 2026 EX Exchange Tokens for the special reward shop.

Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku can be difficult to find wild, but there is a reliable method: use the Monster Tracker and select Kulu-Ya-Ku while the event is running. Tracked Kulu-Ya-Ku will also have pumpkin-shaped rocks. Here’s how to find them and which rewards are worth checking before the exchange closes.

When does Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku start?

The Halloween pumpkin variant appears from Monday, November 2, 2026 at 9 AM until Sunday, November 8 at 11:59 PM, using your local time. The first week of the event, October 26–November 2 at 8:59 AM, doesn’t include this EX Token hunt. That’s why the special Kulu-Ya-Ku may be missing even though Halloween decorations and other quests are already active.

Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku are part of Halloween 2026 Part II. The associated Halloween 2026 II Special Quests also begin November 2, so you can complete objectives and collect event rewards while hunting the themed bird wyverns.

How to find Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku with the Monster Tracker

Check the field for Kulu-Ya-Ku carrying a pumpkin-shaped rock instead of the usual stone. The event announcement warns that these special monsters are uncommon, so repeatedly checking an area doesn’t guarantee one will appear immediately. The Monster Tracker is another confirmed route: Kulu-Ya-Ku found through it during the event will also carry pumpkin-shaped rocks.

  1. Wait for November 2 at 9 AM local time.
  2. Look for Kulu-Ya-Ku on the field and check whether it carries the pumpkin-shaped rock.
  3. Alternatively, select Kulu-Ya-Ku through the Monster Tracker when available.
  4. Hunt the Halloween version and target its breakable parts for extra reward opportunities.
  5. Check the Halloween 2026 EX Exchange Hub for your new tokens.

The EX currency is available only during Part II, so ordinary Kulu-Ya-Ku hunts before November 2 won’t help. Once the event starts, the Monster Tracker is your first stop if you can’t find pumpkin carriers in the field.

Which Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku parts should you break?

The official Monster Hunter Now Kulu-Ya-Ku monster guide identifies its head and forelegs as breakable parts. Its normal rock acts as a weapon or shield, and striking from the side helps when frontal blows hit that defence. Breaking a vulnerable part can also force it to drop what it is carrying.

The Halloween event provides double part-break rewards, and its special EX Tokens can be earned from breaking monster parts as well as completing the themed hunts. If you’re hunting Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku for tokens, target the head or forelegs rather than simply racing to reduce its health bar.

The returning Jack-o’-Head armour adds Partbreaker (Halloween), whose accumulated part damage effect is ten times stronger during the event. That’s a useful complement to EX Token farming, but the armour has to be equipped as actual gear, not merely as a layered look.

When does Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku EX farming end?

Monster Hunter Now Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku and the Halloween 2026 II quest window end on November 8 at 11:59 PM local time. The event Exchange Hubs remain available until November 15. Any exchangeable materials left after that are removed from your Item Box, so spend your EX Tokens while the hub is still open.

For the rest of the event, our Halloween 2026 overview has the dates and other boosts. The Jack-o’-Head guide explains how the 10× seasonal effect helps you break parts, while the Harvest Cloak guide covers the different, ordinary Exchange Tokens.
