The WARDOGS M14 is the new Recon marksman rifle added in Season 2. It unlocks at Recon level 25 for a one-time $100,000 fee, then costs $7,400 each time you buy one from the Primary weapon vendor. The level 25 unlock also includes the standard 10-round magazine.
It fires .308 Winchester in semi-auto or full-auto, with current Season 2 data listing a 700 RPM fire rate, 853 m/s muzzle velocity and 500 m effective range. The M14 also has its own progression line for a scope, bipod, larger magazines and two muzzle attachments, so there is quite a bit more to unlock after the rifle itself.
How to unlock the WARDOGS M14

You need Recon level 25 before the WARDOGS M14 can be unlocked. Season 2 reduced the role XP grind, and level 25 now takes a total of 206,600 Recon XP. Once you reach it, paying $100,000 unlocks both the rifle and its 10-round magazine.
After that first payment, the M14 itself costs $7,400 and a replacement 10-round magazine costs $60. This is a permanent progression unlock, so the $100,000 is not charged every time you rebuild the loadout.

WARDOGS M14 stats in Season 2
The WARDOGS M14 fires at 700 RPM, with an 853 m/s muzzle velocity and a 500 m effective range. It supports both semi-auto and full-auto fire, weighs 4.2 kg and takes a 6×2 space in your inventory. Its zeroing range runs from 100 m to 500 m.
Season 2 cut the base damage of .308 Winchester by 25% across every weapon using the calibre. DMR hit-location values were adjusted at the same time, with headshots and upper-body hits toned down so marksman rifles sit between assault rifles and sniper rifles instead of behaving like fast-firing snipers.

WARDOGS M14 attachment unlocks and prices
The rifle arrives at level 25 with its 10-round magazine, then the rest of the dedicated M14 kit is spread through the Recon track. The Leatherwood ART II comes first at level 27, followed by the bipod at 29, the 20-round magazine at 31, the 30-round magazine at 36, the muzzle brake at 37 and the flash hider at 42.

Which WARDOGS M14 magazine is best?
The 10-round magazine keeps the rifle at its cleanest handling, but it does not leave much room for missed shots or sustained fire. The 20-round magazine is the middle option: it doubles capacity without the heavier penalties attached to the 30-round magazine.
The 30-round magazine is useful when capacity matters more than speed, but current Season 2 data gives it a 20% ADS-time penalty, 22% more vertical recoil, 24% more horizontal recoil and 24% more aim sway. For a rifle built around deliberate mid-to-long-range shots, the 20-round magazine is the easier balance unless you specifically want the extra ten rounds.
Best WARDOGS M14 attachments for Recon
The Leatherwood ART II, M14 Bipod and 20-round magazine make a strong progression setup once you reach Recon level 31. The Leatherwood gives the rifle a proper medium-to-long-range optic, while the bipod is built for a steadier firing position and the 20-round magazine gives you more room between reloads without pushing the handling as far as the 30-round version.
At level 37, the .30 Cal SS Phosphate Muzzle Brake cuts vertical recoil and spread, which suits repeated follow-up shots. It comes with a small ADS and horizontal-recoil trade-off. The flash hider at level 42 is the later alternative if you prefer a lighter handling penalty rather than the brake’s stronger recoil control.

Is the M14 worth the $100,000 unlock?
If Recon is one of your main roles, the WARDOGS M14 gives you a faster-firing .308 option at level 25 with both semi-auto and full-auto available. The BMR-308 now unlocks earlier at level 20, so the M14 is not your first .308 marksman rifle, but its attachment line gives it a different route through the middle of the Recon track.
The $100,000 fee is significant, though it is paid once. The larger ongoing cost is the $7,400 replacement price, especially if you pair the rifle with the $1,480 bipod and a paid optic or muzzle. If cash is tight after the Season 2 wipe, unlocking the rifle first and adding the level 27-42 attachments as you reach them spreads the cost naturally.
