ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest: Almatera Station, Bully and Skulker Locations

Snow-covered Pendola Pass with fallen Emperor in ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest sends you into the snow of Pendola Pass to find Almatera Station and mark two of Frozen Trail’s new enemies, the Bully and Skulker. Shani makes it sound like a scouting trip, but there’s a catch: you must tick off all four required objectives in a single raid.

You don’t actually need to fight either machine. Knowing where the northern railway runs and which enemy to look for saves far more time than bringing your biggest gun. Here’s the route from Northern Tracks to the wrecked station, along with the ping controls, optional Skulker hunt and rewards.

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest objectives

Shani gives you Tracks of the Beast after you finish Exploring Pendola Pass. Activate it in Speranza before deploying. The four main tasks have an in one round requirement, so plan to visit both railway locations and ping both enemies before leaving the map.

  1. Reach Northern Tracks on Pendola Pass.
  2. Find the destroyed station at the end of the tracks, Almatera Station.
  3. Ping a Bully.
  4. Ping a Skulker.

There are also two optional tasks: destroy three Skulkers and deliver a Skulker Targeter to Shani. These aren’t required for the standard completion rewards. You can leave the fighting for another outing and concentrate on the four main steps of ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest.

How to start ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest

Talk to Shani in Speranza once Exploring Pendola Pass is completed, accept Tracks of the Beast and select the new frozen map. For the main mission, a light loadout is fine because your aim is to mark enemies from cover. Check your Ping key binding before you drop; you don’t want to discover it’s changed when a Bully charges towards you.

If you haven’t learned the area yet, the Pendola Pass map guide explains the terrain and Gondola extractions. This particular run stays mostly around the northwestern railway, so you can ignore the high-risk Emperor wreckage.

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest Northern Tracks location

Look at the north and northwest of Pendola Pass, near the railway connecting the Railroad Junction and Almatera Station area. Go to the section known as Northern Tracks. The first objective completes as you reach the area; there is no switch to pull and nothing to loot.

Once the tracker changes, turn towards the southwest and follow the railway to the ruined station. It’s a simpler route than cutting across unfamiliar snowfields, and you might spot one of the two required machines along the way. Keep some cover nearby, especially when moving between the derelict trains.

Where is Almatera Station in ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest?

Almatera Station is the wrecked station southwest of Northern Tracks in the northwestern part of the map. Follow the rails into the damaged station area and wait for the second objective to register. You don’t have to search an office, collect a document or interact with a terminal.

If you end up travelling towards the far northern boundary, you’ve gone too far. The quest means the destroyed station at the end of this railway stretch, not the outer edge of Pendola Pass. Once Almatera is checked off, stay in the surrounding area to look for your Bully ping.

Where to find and ping a Bully

The Bully is a large, four-legged ARC machine that moves quickly and makes plenty of noise when it spots a Raider. Start by looking near Almatera Station and along the tracks north of it. Other reported patrol areas include Railroad Junction to the east and Old Town farther southwest. Patrols can move, so none is guaranteed every raid.

Aim at the Bully and press Ping. On PC, the default control is the middle mouse button; on console, use the Ping input shown in your settings. Check that the quest tracker registers the mark, then get back to cover. ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest doesn’t ask you to damage or kill this enemy.

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest Skulker locations

Skulkers are tougher to spot than a Bully. They’re small, travel close to the ground and can raise a weapon turret when they’re ready to fire. Listen for their distinctive beeping while scanning the open snow and the tracks around Almatera. Don’t stare only at the buildings; a Skulker can slip past you at ground level.

If the station is quiet, search north of Almatera Station along the tracks. Other players have encountered Skulkers in the ravine between Railyard and Commissary Supermarket, and near the Gondola extraction north of Old Town. These are useful areas to try, not fixed spawn points.

When you see one, aim and use the same Ping input. Wait for the objective to register before moving away. You can complete ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest without firing at the Skulker, which is helpful if its turret has already deployed and other ARC machines are nearby.

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest optional Skulker objectives

Destroy three Skulkers

This is the optional combat challenge. Find and destroy three Skulkers in Pendola Pass, checking the same northern railway area before travelling farther afield. Aim for the exposed central turret when it rises, rather than pouring shots into the outer casing. Keep moving and watch for another Skulker sneaking up while you finish one off.

Bring a Skulker Targeter to Shani

Search the remains of a destroyed Skulker for a Skulker Targeter. Pick one up, protect it in your Safe Pocket if there’s room and extract from Pendola Pass. Back in Speranza, deliver it to Shani to complete the optional hand-in. Finding the item in a raid isn’t enough if you lose it before returning.

If you want both optional tasks, collect the Targeter while hunting your three Skulkers rather than searching for an extra one afterwards. Otherwise, once the four main steps of ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest are done, you can head straight for extraction.

ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest rewards

The standard completion payout is three Showstoppers and one Grappling Hook. Shani also gives you two Lure Grenades and three Adrenaline Shots when the mission starts. Those starter supplies aren’t the same as the rewards you collect after the job.

The Grappling Hook is a particularly tempting prize on Pendola Pass because of its steep paths and elevated structures. You don’t have to complete the optional three-Skulker challenge to get the standard reward. Just finish the four main objectives in a round and return to Shani.

Why ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest isn’t progressing

If your tracker is stuck at the railway section, check that you’re in Northern Tracks before heading to the station. Almatera registers when you enter the ruined station area, not when you open a crate. Backtracking between the two landmarks may help if you’ve gone directly to the station without completing the first step.

If you’re stuck on an enemy, check the target carefully. A Bully is much larger than the low Skulker, and the objective is to ping, not shoot. Leaving the round before all four required objectives are ticked off means another run through the route. For ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest, it’s worth confirming each check mark before moving on.

Fastest ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest route

Start at the northern railway, move southwest into Almatera Station, ping a Bully on the tracks or by the station and then search for a Skulker nearby. If none appears, widen the hunt towards the Railyard ravine or Old Town Gondola approach. Once both pings register, extract and turn in the mission.

You can finish ARC Raiders Tracks of the Beast Quest without fighting the new machines at all. Save the optional Skulker kills and Targeter delivery for a run when you’re carrying enough ammunition and have time to extract safely.
