Fortnite Trick or Treat Sprite Locations: How to Find Halloween Variants

Fortnite Trick or Treat Sprite Locations: How to Find Halloween Variants

Fortnite Trick or Treat Sprite locations are spread across the Chapter 7 Season 4 island, so there isn’t one Halloween building where all 24 variants are waiting. The October 8 rollout added 23 new versions to the collection, joining the Trick or Treat Crown that was already obtainable. You can hunt most of them through seasonal loot and the island’s Cheat Code system.

Some places are better starting points when you’re missing a particular Sprite. Nightmare Neighborhood, Green Hill Zone and Stone Sanctum each have several variants associated with them, while other searches take you to quieter corners of the map. The locations below are reported hunting areas, not guaranteed drops from a specific chest.

October 17 Power Hour: more Halloween Sprite variants

Saturday, October 17 gives you another chance to collect the Trick or Treat forms you’re missing. Epic is increasing their spawn rate during two Power Hour sessions: 7 PM BST on Saturday and 2 AM BST on Sunday, October 18. These are the UK times for Epic’s 6 PM and 1 AM UTC starts.

Everyone drops in with an enhanced Freddy’s Nightmare, while Chests can also contain 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors. That makes the event especially handy when you find a variant and want to secure it without searching for a fixed Extraction Site. The increased spawn rate isn’t a guarantee of a particular Sprite from a particular chest.

If you’re still missing a Trick or Treat variant, check your collection before each Power Hour and spend the session searching Pumpkin Chests and Trick or Treat cheats. The October 15 update also introduces Honey and One Wish Willow to the wider collection, alongside Quack as a Sprite Mastery reward. Their regular forms shouldn’t be mistaken for the original 24 Halloween variants listed below.

Epic Games confirms that Pumpkin Chests containing Sprites are scattered around the Battle Royale island. Fortnitemares also changes the normal Cheat Codes into Trick or Treat Cheats, which can give an extra reward alongside a Sprite. Rare chests and Vaults offer other chances to search, according to current collection guides.

All 24 Trick or Treat Sprite locations and search areas

The following are the areas currently identified in published player guides. They give you somewhere specific to start looking, rather than an exact chest that always contains the same Sprite.

These Trick or Treat Sprite locations are search zones, rather than exclusive spawn locks confirmed by Epic. The Crown is the important exception: its Halloween form is earned through the Crown mastery chain instead of being farmed from seasonal containers. As much as this is a guide, we all know from experience that they can appear anywhere, and sometimes when you least expect it.

Nightmare Neighborhood is a strong opening stop if you’re missing Spooky Dash, Vampire or Jackrabbit. Start with the outside loot and Pumpkin Chests before heading into the busier buildings. Freddy Krueger is also found here, so it’s easy for a Sprite hunt to turn into a fight.

Green Hill Zone gives you three targets in one area: Sonic, Tails and Shadow. Stone Sanctum is another useful cluster for Adventure, Birthday and Crash Bandicoot. Neither place guarantees those drops, but checking one cluster is more efficient than crossing the map after every empty chest.

Golden Grove covers Jonesy and Onigiri, with Morgana also reported in the area. If you still need Morgana or X-Ray, Chopped Shop is worth checking next. Around Geno’s Machine, the reported targets are 8-Bit and Killswitch. The coastal locations are useful if Pond or The Deer is still missing.

How to search Pumpkin Chests and Cheat Codes

When checking Trick or Treat Sprite locations, look for Pumpkin Chests as well as the usual loot. Fortnite’s seasonal quest even asks players to smash one to reveal a Sprite. A chest or pumpkin being missing from a familiar spot doesn’t prove the variant is unavailable; another player may have reached it first, or that container may not have spawned in your match.

Cheat Code panels are found around the island on walls and structures. Interact with a panel and enter the directional sequence it shows to claim its reward. These are in-match Fortnite Cheat Codes, not the text-based Admin Panel or Lobby Hack codes entered from the main menu.

Vaults and rare chests are worth checking while you’re already looting. Nightmare Neighborhood also has a Skeleton Key secret leading to locked basement rooms with extra loot, although the rooms aren’t guaranteed to contain a Halloween variant.

How to keep a Halloween Sprite after finding one

Finding the Sprite is only half the job if you’re filling your collection. Extract it at an Extraction Site or with a Portable Extractor to secure it. Carrying it around and then getting eliminated before extraction can leave you without the collection entry.

You can also trade with another player if they have a duplicate you’re missing. That can save time on the rarer finds, particularly when you’ve already searched the same Trick or Treat Sprite locations over several matches.

Why Trick or Treat Sprite locations may appear empty

The wider Halloween wave went live after the daily Sprite reset on October 8 at 2 PM BST, or 9 AM ET. If you looked earlier that day, most of the variants had not yet entered the live pool. Crown had its own earlier unlock route.

After the reset, an empty chest or the wrong Sprite is usually just another unsuccessful roll. Check that you’re playing a supported Battle Royale or Zero Build playlist, search more than one possible loot location and confirm the exact Halloween variant in your collection after extraction. Epic hasn’t supplied guaranteed individual drop coordinates for all 23 newly released forms.
