Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 arrives in the middle of a busy Season 5 launch window where small progression bugs can cost far more time than their patch-note length suggests. Several of the affected problems sit inside repeatable endgame activities, trading and boss encounters, so players can run into them after otherwise normal sessions. The important part is separating changes that alter future behaviour from problems attached to items or instances that already existed. That distinction matters before you spend another key, list another corrupted item or restart a difficult encounter.

The previous client update already handled a different group of Rage of Morditas, Yrun and loading issues, which makes version checking especially important now. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 is a separate build with its own fixes rather than an amended copy of 1.5.1.1. Eleventh Hour Games also recommends installing the update as soon as possible and gives a specific Steam restart step if the download does not appear. The sections below break down what changed and what still cannot be retroactively repaired.

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 patch notes and biggest fixes

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 removes Yrun from spawning in Monoliths and in the Gauntlet of Strife, fixes players getting stuck after using a key to retry dungeon boss fights, corrects new Portents of Blood corrupted copies so they can be listed on the Bazaar, and fixes the Ascendant Firstborn encounter so Fateweaver Atropos is summoned correctly. That last encounter change also addresses cases where the Ascendant Firstborn could become permanently invincible at the beginning of the fight.

This is not just a balance pass. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 targets progression and usability failures that could strand a player, waste a retry attempt or leave a trade item unusable. EHG also includes two Cinder Strike fixes tied to Flame Engineer and Explosive Lash. Those skill fixes are narrower, but they matter for builds using the affected nodes because one involved traps being created with negative mana and the other involved mana not being consumed as intended.

Why Yrun was removed from Monoliths and the Gauntlet of Strife

The Yrun change in Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 is simple in wording but broad in effect: the boss is removed from spawning in Monoliths and in the Gauntlet of Strife. The note does not describe a replacement spawn rule or a temporary workaround. If you are checking a current Monolith route because an older guide still expects Yrun there, the hotfix is the newer authority for that activity.

This also follows earlier Yrun corrections in Hotfix 1.5.1.1, which addressed invisible damaging zones and an endgame version appearing outside Empowered Monoliths. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 goes further by removing the spawn from the named activities entirely. That makes it important to check the version attached to any Yrun farming or encounter advice rather than assuming every Season 5 note describes the same state.

Dungeon boss retry fix

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 fixes the dungeon retry problem that could leave players stuck after using a key to retry a boss fight. EHG's release note also describes players spawning outside dungeons when retrying boss encounters, which is the practical symptom this change is intended to stop. The supported action is to update the client before spending another key on a retry rather than trying to reproduce the old failure deliberately.

EHG does not promise compensation for a key that was already consumed before the fix, and the note does not say every dungeon issue is covered by this line. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 addresses the specific retry flow after using a key. If a different door, objective or loading problem remains on the current build, report that separately with the dungeon and encounter details instead of assuming the retry fix failed.

Portents of Blood Bazaar fix has an important limit

The Bazaar line is the most important caveat in Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2. Corrupted copies created by the Portents of Blood Weaver node should now be listable when they are generated after the fix. EHG explicitly warns that an affected item generated before the fix can never be listed on the Bazaar and cannot be repaired so that it becomes listable later.

That means the hotfix protects newly generated copies rather than cleaning every old item already sitting in a stash. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 does not provide a conversion button, relisting trick or repair process for those pre-fix copies. If you have an older corrupted item that still refuses to list, keeping it for personal use is different from expecting the Bazaar state to change after another relog.

Ascendant Firstborn invincibility fix

At the end of the Cenotaph of Worlds, Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 changes the Ascendant Firstborn encounter so Fateweaver Atropos is summoned properly at the beginning. EHG says this also fixes cases where the Ascendant Firstborn unexpectedly became invincible forever at the start of the encounter. That wording is important because the fix is tied to the encounter setup rather than a general damage calculation change.

If you were blocked by that exact opening state, update and start a fresh attempt on the current client. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 should prevent the broken opening sequence described in the notes. If permanent invincibility still occurs after the update, EHG asks players to use the in-game Bug Report tool, which is bound to F8 by default, and include as much detail as possible.

Cinder Strike fixes in the same update

Two Cinder Strike bugs are also included in Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2. The Flame Engineer node could still cause Explosive Traps to be created while the character had negative mana, which is no longer intended behaviour. The Explosive Lash node also failed to consume mana when flasks were replaced by Explosive Traps through Flame Engineer, and that mana-consumption issue is fixed as well.

These changes are easy to miss beside the larger progression fixes, but they can change how a build feels immediately after updating. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 does not announce a new cost value or a wider Cinder Strike rebalance, so players should avoid reading more into the note than it says. The change is specifically about the two broken node interactions described by EHG.

How to make sure Hotfix 1.5.1.2 is installed

EHG recommends downloading Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 as soon as possible. Fully exit Last Epoch so Steam can pick up the client update, then let the download complete before relaunching. If the update is not visible, EHG specifically recommends restarting Steam and checking again. Staying in an older running client can leave you testing behaviour that the new build has already changed.

Once updated, retest only the issue that affected you. A Bazaar player should use a newly generated Portents of Blood copy, a dungeon player should test a fresh boss retry, and an Ascendant Firstborn player should begin a new encounter. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.2 is precise enough that a targeted check is more useful than treating every Season 5 problem as part of the same patch.
