Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows: Fire, Shock and Bone Arrows Explained

Enshrouded 1.0 Release Date

Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows are part of the larger ranged-combat refresh coming with the full release, and they matter for more than simply adding three names to an ammunition list. Keen Games is changing how Eternal ammunition can progress, while archers also receive new skills and revised ranged options. That combination gives bow-focused characters several systems to re-check when the October 15 build replaces the Early Access version.

The confirmed preview is specific about the new arrow types and the fact that Eternal arrows can be upgraded, but it does not publish every recipe, damage value or perk roll. That distinction is useful before launch because it lets players plan around the existence of new permanent ammunition without pretending the final best-in-slot answer is already known. The three arrows are real, their upgradeability is real, and the finer optimisation details belong to the live build.

Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows add Eternal Fire Arrow, Eternal Shock Arrow and Eternal Bone Arrow. Keen Games confirms all Eternal arrows can be upgraded in 1.0, in the same broad way weapons and the newly upgradeable Eternal spells can progress, and the arrows can gain perks as part of that system.

Keen has not attached final damage numbers, crafting recipes or a perk list to those three entries in the combat overview. The names indicate the three ammunition types, but the exact combat role of each Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows option should be judged from the live stats rather than guessed from the element name alone.

How Eternal Arrow upgrades change bow progression

The biggest structural change around Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows is that Eternal arrows are upgradeable. That gives permanent ammunition its own progression layer instead of leaving the arrow itself as a fixed tool while only the bow improves. Keen explicitly compares the change with weapons and the new upgrade path for Eternal spells.

Perks are also part of the upgrade system. The developer does not list the complete arrow perk pool in the preview, so there is no factual basis yet for declaring one roll mandatory. Once 1.0 is live, useful comparisons can look at the actual perk choices, upgrade costs and damage results. Before launch, the important confirmed point is that Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows are no longer a static category.

How the new arrows fit the 1.0 archer changes

Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows arrive beside three new archer skills. Puncture is described as increasing ranged piercing damage, Barrage can restore bow durability when dealing damage, and Survival Instinct can restore Shroud time after defeating a Shroud-infested enemy with a bow or dagger. Some values are still shown as placeholders in Keen’s preview, so those numbers should wait for the final build.

Ranged targeting also receives new aim-assist options. Controller aim assist is enabled by default, while mouse and keyboard aim assist is disabled by default. That change is separate from the ammunition itself, but it is relevant to players rebuilding a ranged setup around Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows because the release update is touching both what you fire and how ranged combat feels.

Fire, Shock and Bone: what is actually confirmed

The safest pre-launch comparison is a short one. Keen has confirmed the Eternal Fire, Eternal Shock and Eternal Bone names. It has not published a complete elemental interaction sheet in this announcement, and it does not provide final damage, recipe ingredients or upgrade-perk tables for each arrow. Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows should therefore not be ranked before the live numbers exist.

That matters because a familiar elemental label can tempt players to assume effects that have not been stated. Fire does not automatically prove a particular burn duration, Shock does not prove a chain effect, and Bone does not prove a specific physical bonus. The live tooltip and release data should decide those details.

What bow players should check on October 15

After updating, inspect the crafting and upgrade interfaces for the three Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows and compare their real values with the bow you are using. Then check the revised skill tree, because Keen is resetting all skill allocations after moving and adding skills. An old archer build may need points reassigned before it performs normally.

  1. Reinvest skill points after the 1.0 reset.
  2. Check how each Eternal arrow is obtained in the live build.
  3. Compare its actual damage and any element-specific behaviour shown in-game.
  4. Review the available upgrade perks before committing resources.
  5. Test the new ranged settings if controller or aim assist is part of your setup.

The player level cap also rises to 50 and equipment can reach level 55, so launch progression extends beyond ammunition. Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows are one piece of a larger combat and gear refresh, not a reason to ignore the bow, equipment and tree around them.

What comes next for Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows

Once the game is live, the useful follow-up questions will be acquisition routes, upgrade costs, perk pools and which arrow performs best in specific encounters. Those searches need live data. For now, Enshrouded 1.0 Eternal Arrows are confirmed as Fire, Shock and Bone additions with an upgradeable perk system, giving archers three new permanent ammunition choices without guessing the missing launch values.
