Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike is the V0.2 mode that turns the familiar Ouwigahara climb into a run-based build challenge where you start with basic gear and assemble your power from random cards. The mode is now open to everyone, and the goal is not simply to copy your normal character. You need to build a usable moveset as the floors climb, protect your hearts and reach Token milestones without wasting picks on skills that do the same job.
The core loop in Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike is easy to understand but much harder to execute well. You begin with Fists, a Basic Katana and a small supply of Potions. After floors you choose from cards that can provide individual Breathing or Demon Art skills, weapons, clan effects and stat upgrades. Because the choices are random, the strongest run is usually the one that covers range, crowd control, damage and survivability rather than chasing one favourite technique.

Open the main menu, go to the Hub and select Ouwigahara Roguelike. The V0.2 change removed the previous limited-access barrier, so the Roguelike tile itself is the route into the mode. Horses cannot be used anywhere in Ouwigahara, which means your own movement, dashes and any mobility you gain from cards are what carry you through awkward rooms.
Unlike a standard character build, Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike asks you to make decisions with incomplete information. A great card in isolation can still be a bad pick if it leaves the current run with no safe ranged option, no answer to groups or too many skills sharing a long cooldown window. Think about what the build cannot currently do, then use the next choice to fix that weakness.
Best card priorities in Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike
- Reliable area damage for floors with several enemies.
- Crowd control that stops enemies surrounding you.
- At least one ranged or safe-poke option.
- A cooldown rotation that leaves something available after your strongest move.
- Movement or survivability when the run is already dealing enough damage.
- Stat cards when the offered active skills do not improve the current setup.
Range and area control are especially valuable in Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike because getting boxed in costs hearts quickly. A close-range move can still be excellent, but it needs a safe opening. If one card knocks enemies away, reposition before firing a second short-range attack so you do not waste the follow-up on targets that have already moved out of reach.
Do not empty every cooldown at once. A better rotation uses one control or damage tool, moves to a safer angle and then follows with another skill while the first is recovering. Potions should be treated the same way. Keeping every potion until the end is pointless if refusing to heal causes the run to end several milestones early.
Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike Tokens and milestone rewards
The updated Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike pays Ouwigahara Tokens at floor milestones. Floors 10 and 20 give 1 each, floors 30 and 40 give 4 each, then floors 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 give 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16. The summit gives 20, bringing a full climb to 82 Tokens. Early V0.2 guides that show a 42-token maximum use the first reward table and are now stale.
| Milestone | Tokens |
|---|---|
| 10 | 1 |
| 20 | 1 |
| 30 | 4 |
| 40 | 4 |
| 50 | 6 |
| 60 | 8 |
| 70 | 10 |
| 80 | 12 |
| 90 | 16 |
| Summit | 20 |
This reward curve changes how you should judge a Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike build. Reaching floor 50 once is less useful than reaching floor 70 repeatedly if you are farming. Later milestones carry much larger Token payouts, and NPC scaling was reduced after floor 65 in the follow-up adjustment. Consistency now has a very direct currency value.
Lava Dungeon and titles in Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike
Lava Dungeon is one of the floor environments in Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike. Treat an unfamiliar layout cautiously before using movement skills near edges or hazards. V0.2 also adds 19 Roguelike titles that can change a run when equipped, including perks such as a starting card, another heart or a free reroll. Unwritten protects the first fall by respawning you on the spawn pad.
Titles are not a replacement for a coherent build. An extra heart can buy time, but it will not solve a run with no crowd control. Likewise, a free reroll is most valuable when you understand what the current build needs. Check the title before queueing, then make card choices around the run you actually receive.
How to improve at Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike
The fastest way to improve at Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike is to stop judging cards only by rarity. Learn which skills provide range, which interrupt groups, which leave you locked in a dangerous animation and which combine into a real rotation. If the current choices are poor, a simple stat card can be better than adding a fifth attack you cannot safely fit into the same fight.
Once you can regularly reach the later milestones, Slayers 2 Ouwigahara Roguelike becomes a strong progression route beyond the mode itself. Tokens can be traded at 7,500 Wen each, converted at 5,000 Mastery each, spent on Series materials at 20 Tokens or saved for the rotating limited gear. That gives every solid climb a useful outcome even when the cosmetic stock is not something you want.
First-run card priorities and common mistakes
Start with one attack you can use reliably. Add a ranged skill if groups keep surrounding you, then choose crowd control or survival before piling on extra damage cards. It is often better to strengthen a coherent moveset than to collect another powerful-looking attack with no safe opening.
Preserve Potions for difficult floors instead of burning them to finish easy waves quickly. If Tokens are your goal, consistent milestone clears are worth more than repeatedly gambling everything on a rare card. Our Token Rewards guide gives the milestone payouts.
