How the main Slayers 2 Lanterns farming routes work
The easiest Slayers 2 Lanterns route starts with the lanterns that do not depend on deep endgame systems. Cherry Blossom is bought directly from Kuro at night in Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. Fujiko’s Lantern comes from Common Chests, while the Mushroom Lit Lantern is a puzzle reward inside the Reaper Trainee Kuzan cave after starting the correct Old Trapper Retsu dialogue and removing any equipped lantern.
Iceveil is where Slayers 2 Lanterns become part of survival as well as stats. Emberheart drops from the Yeti Demon at 25%, but the fight needs a Frozen Heart. Once Emberheart is equipped, charging at a campfire provides temporary Cold Immunity for the Iceveil trip. Deeper in the region, Kuzan farming supplies Ice Chests with a 6% Lantern of Despair chance and a 2% Abyssal Lantern chance.
Ouwigahara adds another branch to Slayers 2 Lanterns. Nichirin can drop from the normal Ouwigahara Chest or Cache at 5%, while the Deep Cache improves that chance to 10%. Firstlight uses a completely different route: solve Lamplighter Isamu’s five-round plate memory trial for the schematic, learn it, then craft the lantern through Togane.

The biggest mistake with Slayers 2 Lanterns is farming the correct item from the wrong reward container. Despair and Abyssal are Ice Chest drops, Nichirin belongs to Ouwigahara rewards, Lost comes from Lost Chests or fishing, and Demonic is tied to World Events Chests. A boss standing in the right region does not automatically mean its ordinary loot table contains the lantern you want.
Another common problem is treating Cold Immunity as a permanent Emberheart passive that needs no preparation. Emberheart can be charged at a campfire for temporary Cold Immunity lasting up to about ten minutes. Plan a return to fire rather than wandering Iceveil until the protection expires in the middle of another farm.
