Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: Where to Find It and How to Use It

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish is the calming item used on Damian after the tall right-hand closet triggers the second major Hallway scare. The fish is on the Hallway floor and becomes useful only after the jack-in-the-box and frying-pan sequence is finished.

Using the fish at the wrong time makes it look like a useless prop. Its purpose is very specific: repeatedly open and close the closet until Damian reacts, then drag the fish onto him before opening the closet again for Shade.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: when to use it

Step Correct action
First scare Use frying pan after jack-in-the-box
Next area Repeatedly open and close right closet
Second Damian reaction Use the fish
After fish Open the closet again
Result Shade jumps out

The fish does not replace the frying pan, shovel or screwdriver. Each Damian scare has its own accepted item.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: Finish the frying pan step first

Start with the screwdriver and jack-in-the-box on the far left. After the box jumpscare, use the frying pan on Damian.

Only then move into the closet section. Trying the fish before this point can leave the room state unchanged.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: closet sequence

Open and close the tall closet on the right repeatedly until the next Damian scare triggers.

Drag the fish onto Damian and advance the dialogue. Then open the closet again to trigger Shade’s appearance.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: What happens after Shade appears

Shade is not finished yet. Leave him in the room and continue with the pendulum and grandfather clock.

Later, the skull key opens the closet safe and gives you the cymbals needed to complete Shade.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: why it may not work

  • The jack-in-the-box scare has not been completed.
  • The frying pan has not been used on Damian first.
  • The closet has not been opened and closed enough to trigger the next scare.
  • You are trying the fish during the clock or radio reaction.
  • The Hallway is waiting for dialogue to finish before accepting another item.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: Does the fish get used on Shade?

No. Shade eventually needs the cymbals from the skull-key safe. The fish belongs to Damian’s closet scare.

For Shade’s actual requirement, see Brawl Stars Find Gus Shade Cymbals.

Does the fish unlock a secret?

No confirmed Phase 2 bonus reward comes from the fish itself. The optional Hallway reward is the Damian Pin inside the four-colour safe beneath the radio.

The fish is a required progression object, not an Easter egg reward trigger.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: full item sequence around it

The nearby order is jack-in-the-box, frying pan, right closet, fish, open closet again, Shade, pendulum and 12:00 clock.

Keeping that short chain in order is the easiest way to avoid tapping every object in the room after Damian reacts.

What comes after the fish

Take the pendulum from the closet, install it in the grandfather clock and set the clock to 12:00. Use the shovel on Damian after that scare.

Then collect the antenna and continue to the radio. Our Brawl Stars Find Gus Pendulum guide picks up exactly where the fish section ends.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Fish: quick answer

After the first jack-in-the-box scare has been cleared with the frying pan, repeatedly open and close the right closet. When Damian reacts, use the fish on him, advance the dialogue and open the closet again for Shade.

For the whole room in one route, use Brawl Stars Find Gus Phase 2.

Why the fish clue is confusing

Early player discussion focused heavily on whether the fish was a secret because it reacts around the same time as several spooky props. The reproduced route shows it has a required job instead.

Use it to clear Damian’s closet reaction, then move on. It does not need a second hidden use to complete Phase 2.
