NTE The Witch Quest: How to Unlock the Version 1.4 Story

NTE The Witch Quest

NTE The Witch Quest is the new Version 1.4 main story episode unlocked after completing the earlier main story episode Fogden Game. The Witch went live with the September 30 update and continues NTE’s central story through a mysterious letter, a sinister ritual and a town wrapped up in rumours of a curse.

The key unlock for NTE The Witch Quest is simple: finish Fogden Game first. You do not need to pull Blackbird to start the new main story, and Blackbird’s separate City Hangouts and Home Time invitation content use their own character and Bond Level requirements.

How to unlock NTE The Witch Quest

  • Install the Version 1.4 update.
  • Continue the main story until Fogden Game is complete.
  • Return to the main quest interface after the September 30 update.
  • Select the newly available The Witch episode.
  • Follow the main-story objective into the Version 1.4 investigation.

If NTE The Witch Quest is not listed, the first thing to check is Fogden Game completion. The official patch notes name that episode as the unlock requirement, so finishing unrelated Pukaland attractions or raising Puka Membership will not substitute for the story prerequisite.

What is NTE The Witch Quest about?

The official synopsis begins with a mysterious letter and a sinister ritual, then moves into a town clouded by fear and a suspected curse. The repeated question ‘Witch, witch, where are you?’ frames the episode as an investigation rather than a simple combat commission.

Version 1.4 also adds St. Arbor, a town at the foot of the mountain that was once described as quiet and peaceful. The update clearly pairs the new story and new location thematically, although the patch notes avoid spoiling the full sequence of objectives.

Do you need Blackbird for NTE The Witch Quest

No Blackbird ownership requirement is listed for the main story episode. Blackbird is the featured limited S-Class character of the first Version 1.4 phase, but The Witch only names Fogden Game as its unlock condition.

Blackbird does have new City Hangouts and Home Time content, and those do require obtaining her and reaching the required Bond Level. Keep those character stories separate from the main quest.

Do you need Pukaland for NTE The Witch Quest

Pukaland is another new Version 1.4 location, but the official story unlock does not say you must complete its Travelogue, attractions or Puka Membership Program before The Witch appears.

If your quest marker sends you through new Version 1.4 areas during the story, follow the live objective. That is different from treating park progression as an account-wide story gate.

What if NTE The Witch Quest is not showing?

Confirm Version 1.4 is fully installed, then open the main quest history and verify Fogden Game is marked complete. If it is only partially finished, continue that episode until the completion state changes.

Restart the game after finishing the prerequisite if the new main quest does not appear immediately. A post-update client can occasionally need a fresh menu load before newly unlocked story content is visible.

Does NTE The Witch Quest have a deadline?

The official patch notes present The Witch as the new main story episode rather than a limited event with a November closing time. That makes it different from Terminal Depths, Circle Gifts and Pukaland Travelogue.

There is still value in completing it during Version 1.4 because later story content can build on the episode, but there is no announced event deadline attached to the main quest itself.

Version 1.4 story content around NTE The Witch Quest

Alongside The Witch, Version 1.4 adds Blackbird City Hangouts, Blackbird Home Time invitation content, St. Arbor and three new Anomaly Commissions at launch: Night of the Last Bus, Lilliput in the Looking Glass and Perfectly Ordinary Dreams.

NTE The Witch Quest is the main narrative route through the update. Finish Fogden Game, install Version 1.4 and follow the new main quest from there without wasting time on unrelated unlock conditions that the official notes never require.

Quick check for NTE The Witch Quest

NTE The Witch Quest should be checked against the live Version 1.4 interface because event milestones, mail expiry and later-stage requirements are displayed directly in-game. Use the current reward page or mailbox as the final authority when an older preview shows a different order.
