Pokémon GO Adventure Effects are temporary bonuses activated by specific powerful attacks outside battle. Current effects come from Origin Dialga and Palkia, fused Necrozma and Kyurem, Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta, Eternatus, and Mega Mewtwo.
How Pokémon GO Adventure Effects work
To use Pokémon GO Adventure Effects, open a Pokémon that knows an eligible move, scroll to the Adventure Effects section and tap Use. Most effects cost Stardust plus that Pokémon’s Candy, while Mega Mewtwo’s newer effects use Mega Energy and Candy. You choose an available duration and confirm activation.
The key rule for Pokémon GO Adventure Effects is that only one can be active at a time. Some effects also conflict with Incense-style items, while Adventure Effects can coexist with systems such as Mega Evolution or Primal Reversion unless the individual effect says otherwise.

Dialga and Palkia effects
Two of the most flexible Pokémon GO Adventure Effects are Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. Roar of Time freezes the countdown on selected timed items, which is useful when you want to stretch Incense or Lucky Egg value. Spacial Rend expands the distance at which wild Pokémon can be encountered, making dense spawn sessions easier to play.
Necrozma and Kyurem effects
Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam act like themed Incense, pulling daytime or nighttime species respectively and temporarily bypassing matching time-of-day evolution requirements. These Pokémon GO Adventure Effects cannot run alongside another Adventure Effect and also have restrictions with Incense-style items.
Black Kyurem’s Freeze Shock prevents encountered Pokémon from moving, while White Kyurem’s Ice Burn slows the catch target ring and makes catching easier. Both are particularly useful when you want more control over difficult encounters.
Zacian, Zamazenta and Eternatus effects
Crowned Sword Zacian uses Behemoth Blade to strengthen attacks in raids and Max Battles. Crowned Shield Zamazenta uses Behemoth Bash to strengthen defense. Eternatus uses Dynamax Cannon to raise your Pokémon’s Max Moves by one level temporarily, even lifting locked Max Moves to Level 1 and fully trained Level 3 moves to a temporary Level 4.
These battle-focused Pokémon GO Adventure Effects are designed for difficult group content rather than catching or exploration.
Mega Mewtwo Adventure Effects
Two new Pokémon GO Adventure Effects arrived with Mega Mewtwo in 2026. Dynamic Punch+ increases your damage against Mega-Evolved Pokémon in Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids and lets you break two shields at once in a Super Mega Raid. Future Sight+ reveals whether an encountered Pokémon will appraise at three stars or higher by making qualifying encounters glow.
Once Mewtwo has unlocked these moves through its Mega forms, the Adventure Effects can be used even while Mewtwo is not currently Mega Evolved.
Can Adventure Effects be extended?
Most Pokémon GO Adventure Effects can be extended by spending more of the same resources. For many of the established effects, each activation can add up to two hours and repeated uses can build the total duration as high as 24 hours. Always check the in-game activation panel because cost and duration are shown before you spend anything.
