Pokémon Champions best singles team searches deserve actual teams, not a lecture about team building. Regulation M-C is still new, so the examples below are labelled honestly: some come directly from current community teams and others are early testing shells built around the same live M-C ideas. Use them as starting sixes, then change one slot at a time after real matches show you what the roster is missing.

Regulation M-C began on September 9 and runs until December 2, 2026. Pokémon legal in earlier regulations remain eligible, while the update adds 24 newly available Pokémon and six new Mega Evolutions. That makes early team examples useful, but it is too soon to pretend one settled best six exists for every archetype.

1. Mega Salamence Singles roster

Mega SalamencePrimary Mega attacker
AegislashDefensive utility
Rotom-WBulky utility / weather answer
RillaboomSupport attacker / terrain pressure
SneaslerFast pressure / disruption
SinistchaSupport / redirection / healing

This adapts the current Salamence balance shell to the three-Pokémon bring format. Salamence is the primary closer, while Aegislash and Rotom-W give the roster defensive pivots and Rillaboom/Sneasler offer alternative pressure.

2. Mega Baxcalibur Singles roster

Mega BaxcaliburPrimary Mega attacker
RillaboomSupport attacker / terrain pressure
FarigirafSpeed-control / priority protection
GholdengoSpecial attacker
PelipperRain / speed support
SneaslerFast pressure / disruption

This is a practical early-M-C testing shell, not a claimed solved team. Baxcalibur is the central threat, with partners chosen to give it different forms of support and to stop the roster becoming one-dimensional.

3. Mega Lucario Z Singles roster

Mega Lucario ZPrimary Mega attacker
GrimmsnarlScreens support
AerodactylFast speed-control support
HydreigonSpecial attacker
RillaboomSupport attacker / terrain pressure
SinistchaSupport / redirection / healing

The Lucario Z shell gives Singles players several possible trios. You can choose a support-heavy bring when Lucario is the clear win condition or leave it out and use a more balanced secondary mode.

Which Singles team should you try first?

In Singles, the roster matters less than the three you actually select. Build at least two believable trios. If every matchup forces the same three Pokémon, your six is not giving you enough preview flexibility.

For Doubles, do not assume the same four should come to every match. Pick the mode that attacks the opponent’s weakest point and keep a second mode available. For Singles, make sure the six offers at least two believable groups of three rather than disguising one fixed trio as a full roster.

The easiest way to improve this Pokémon Champions best singles team is to play several games before editing it. If one matchup keeps beating you, replace the slot that contributes least to that matchup. Constantly changing the team after one loss makes it almost impossible to tell whether the problem is the roster or simply unfamiliar play.

Rillaboom, Mega Salamence, Mega Golisopod and Mega Baxcalibur are especially useful early M-C targets because they are headline additions and are already generating active team-building discussion. That does not automatically make them the four best Pokémon in the format; it makes them sensible places to start if you want a current team rather than an M-B rerun.

Singles FAQ

Are these proven tournament teams? No. Regulation M-C is still extremely new. Where a six comes from a current community build, the guide says so; where it is a testing shell, it is labelled as one instead of pretending the meta is solved.

When does Regulation M-C end? Regulation M-C is scheduled to run until December 2, 2026.

Can older legal Pokémon still be used? Yes. Pokémon that were legal in earlier Pokémon Champions regulations remain eligible in M-C.
