Deep Rock Galactic can have long mission runs, so you’ll need to know how to get more ammo by calling in resupply pods to last through them.

How to get more ammo in Deep rock using resupply pods

To get yourself more ammo in Deep Rock Galactic, you’ll need to call in a resupply pod. You can do so by pressing 5 on PC. However, you must have 80 Nitra for each resupply pod you call in. If you do, you just need to select a location for the pod to drop in, and then get out of the way.

These pods are available to call in at any point if you have enough Nitra to fund them.

Nitra is a spiky red crystal found commonly throughout pretty much every mission and map type.

It is comparable to gold in how easily found it can be. This means that getting at least a few resupply pods per mission isn’t terribly difficult if you keep an eye out for it, but they will need to be gathered in each mission all the same.

There will be a delay before it can arrive, and it takes some time to dig down through obstacles to reach you – make sure to keep an eye on its progress though, as the pod is extremely capable of crushing an inattentive alien, or Dwarf.

Don’t wander away from the drop site after you call it in though, if you’re short on supplies and ammo you’ll want to be nearby to claim from it quickly. This goes double in Co-Op with full teams, as other Dwarves might take more than one resupply and that can leave someone else missing out, given each pod only has 4 resupply caches to replenish your ammo and health.

You’ll probably want to drop it somewhere fairly open if you get much of a choice, to reduce the risk of being crushed or having to mine out one of the sides.

Once the pod lands, 4 arms will pop out of the sides, allowing you to interact with the pod using E, and giving you back more ammo and health after a short gathering time delay. Each resupply use consumes one of the arms, and with all 4 used the pod simply becomes a durable bit of scenery.

If you find yourself going through too many resupply pods in DRG, you might just want to try out another class and see if you have an easier time there, it’s possible you’re just having a rough time with that one character.
