When does Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 end?

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 was released in December 2021, bringing the first new map since October 2019, and also saw the loot pool completely overhauled with no weapons carrying over from the previous Chapter 2.
Since then, a few older weapons and items have returned such as the Flare Gun, as well as the return of the iconic Tilted Towers POI.
With the new season coming very soon, and Epic Games yet to release any teasers for the upcoming season, it is understandable that many players are confused as to when Chapter 3 Season 2 will begin.
According to Fortnite’s Battle Pass screen, it says that Chapter 3 Season 1 is set to end on Saturday, March 19. Epic Games has now confirmed that the season will in fact end one day later on Sunday, March 20, with downtime beginning at 3 am EST/7 am UTC.
The 20.00 update will likely last for 2-3 hours before the servers come back online and players are able to hop into Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

So far there haven’t been any leaks regarding what fans can expect from the new season, which is very unusual, but it has been rumored that Doctor Strange could be part of the Season 2 Battle Pass. There will likely also be new POIs on the map and new weapons and items, including the return of the some old favorites.
