Where to watch the next major Destiny 2 showcase

Last Updated on: 23rd August 2021, 06:36 am

It’s that time again, where Destiny 2 gears up to showcase the next major expansion and hype everyone over a giant cliff of disappointment. Whoops, a little too pessimistic. Let’s back it up a little bit. The Witch Queen has been teased by Bungie for a good while now, and after only seeing some armor screenshots, it seems like Bungie is finally ready to give us a look in the oven.

We don’t know what exactly we’re going to be shown when the time comes, but before then, it’s important for all of you good little Guardians to be prepared for the showing.

So if you go to the actual website itself, you’ll see the banner for the Destiny 2: Survive the Truth showcase that’s taking place on August 24th. You can sign up for the mail updates if you’d like, but the best thing for you to do is to just follow the Twitch account to be informed of when the live stream will start.

According to the website, the showcase stream is going to officially start at 9 am PST, with a pre-stream taking place at around 8 am PST. Whatever is being shown before the actual showcase, it might be something that’s important for the community, like art or fan-made videos of some kind. Make sure you adjust your clocks and get plenty of sleep beforehand!

What to expect from the stream (probably)

Before you get ready to watch the stream, be sure to manage your expectations properly. Just because Papa Bungie is gonna let us look in the oven, doesn’t mean that we’ll get to see the whole cake; more than likely, we’ll get a rundown of the premise, the area and maybe get a look at some of the new weapons that will be included in the expansion. Don’t expect to see Savathun grace the screen with her presence as soon as the stream starts.

If there’s anything we can hope for, it’s that Bungie continues to improve on Destiny 2‘s current momentum and make The Witch Queen the best expansion we’ve seen so far. With the future of the series seemingly bright, it would behoove Bungie to iterate on what has made the series successful so far and avoid any other decisions that could hamper the gains the series has made.

Hope for the best and expect the worst, as always Guardians.
