Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is just a week from ending, with Season 6 right around the corner, with the Zero Crisis Finale event announced earlier this week.

But before it ends, there is still one week worth of challenges still to complete to get the last few levels for the Battle Pass.

Here is how to complete Spend 5 seconds within 20 meters of enemies while sand tunnelling from the Week 15 challenges.

Sand tunnelling is a new mechanic for Chapter 2 Season 5 after the centre of the map became covered in sand at the start of the season. There is still no logical reason why sand appeared, but its Fortnite so always expect the unexpected.

Players are able to fall into the sand and then travel beneath the surface to move around quickly and avoid other players.

To complete this, you need to be within 20 meters of another player while underneath the sand.

This should be fairly easy to do if you’re stealthy, or find an AI character to do it with because their aim is pretty trash.

Release Date

Fortnite challenges go live every Thursday at 9am EST/2pm GMT, so expect the week 15 challenges to go live on March 11th at 9am EST/2pm GMT.

The challenges this week are:

  • Distance travelled through sand (500)
  • Spend 5 seconds within 20 meters of enemies while sand tunnelling (5)
  • Spend Bars (500)
  • Purchase Item from a Character (1)
  • Upgrade a weapon (1)
  • Get Intel from a Character (1)
  • Hire a Character (1)

Each Epic Quest is worth 40,000 XP, granting 280,000 XP in total, around 3 levels worth of XP.

Week 15 Legendary Quest

The Legendary Quest this week is:

  • Duel Characters (5/10/15/20/25)

The first stage of the challenge is worth 55,000 XP, the following 4 are worth 22,000 XP each, giving a total of 143,000 XP for completing the Legendary Quest.

But be fast, Legendary Quests are only around until the next set of challenges go live and then they are gone forever.
