What changed for Boston?
Boston is now the major exception to the normal Pokémon GO City Safari September 2026 format. Current Boston ticket holders can play the replacement wild encounters and event bonuses anywhere in the world from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on October 24 and October 25.
Only current ticket holders receive this replacement gameplay. Niantic is not reopening ticket sales or turning the event into a free worldwide weekend.
No Boston GO Stamp Rally
The GO Stamp Rally was an important feature of the other Pokémon GO City Safari September 2026 events, but Niantic says there will be no Boston GO Stamp Rally in the rescheduled experience.

Explorer Hat Eevee still has a Boston route
Explorer Hat Eevee remains relevant to the Boston branch of Pokémon GO City Safari September 2026, but through supplementary Special Research rather than the cancelled Stamp Rally.
Qualifying ticket holders can receive research that asks them to spin PokéStops in Boston and awards up to nine Explorer Hat Eevee with a Boston Location Background. One research opportunity is available for each ticketed day.
Trainers can log in anywhere from October 24, 2026 through October 23, 2028 to obtain the research, giving ticket holders a long window to secure the Boston-specific quest before completing its city-based tasks.
Boston refund option
Boston ticket holders from the Pokémon GO City Safari September 2026 sale can keep their tickets automatically or request a refund through in-app support before October 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Refunds must be initiated by the original purchaser and cannot be partial. A multi-ticket order is refunded together with its associated add-ons, and refunded tickets cannot be purchased again.
What stays useful from the September events?
The completed Pokémon GO City Safari September 2026 events still established useful information about Explorer Hat Eevee evolutions, featured species and the City Safari format in general. Those guides remain relevant to the five cities that actually ran as scheduled.
