Can Attack Forme Deoxys Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Yes, shiny Attack Forme Deoxys is available in Pokémon GO.
Regular Attack Forme Deoxys has an orange and blue body with a black chest and facial markings. Shiny Attack Forme Deoxys changes the orange sections to bright yellow while retaining the contrasting blue and black details.
The colour difference is easy to recognise when the shiny version appears during the catch encounter.
A shiny encounter is not guaranteed after winning an Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid. Trainers may need to complete several raids before finding the shiny version.
Attack Forme Deoxys will not appear shiny during the raid battle itself. The shiny check happens after the boss has been defeated and the catch encounter begins.
Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Weaknesses
The Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO weaknesses are:
- Bug-type attacks
- Dark-type attacks
- Ghost-type attacks
As a pure Psychic-type Pokémon, Attack Forme Deoxys resists:
- Fighting-type attacks
- Psychic-type attacks
Dark Pokémon are often among the safest counters because they resist Psychic-type attacks while dealing super-effective damage in return.
Ghost attackers can produce extremely high damage, although some Ghost Pokémon may faint quickly against the raid boss’s attacks.
Foggy weather boosts Dark and Ghost-type damage. Rainy weather boosts Bug-type attacks, while Windy weather boosts Attack Forme Deoxys and increases its catch CP after the raid.
Best Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Raid Counters
The best Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO counters are powerful Dark and Ghost-type attackers using matching Fast and Charged Attacks.
| Pokémon | Recommended moves |
|---|---|
| Dawn Wings Necrozma | Shadow Claw and Moongeist Beam |
| Mega Tyranitar | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Mega Gengar | Lick and Shadow Ball |
| Shadow Tyranitar | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Mega Banette | Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball |
| Shadow Chandelure | Hex and Shadow Ball |
| Hydreigon | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Giratina Origin Forme | Shadow Claw and Shadow Force |
| Darkrai | Snarl and Shadow Ball |
| Gholdengo | Hex and Shadow Ball |
Dawn Wings Necrozma is one of the strongest Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid counters. Moongeist Beam deals enormous Ghost-type damage and can remove the boss’s health very quickly.
Mega Tyranitar is another excellent choice because it combines strong Dark-type damage with resistance to Psychic attacks.
Mega Gengar deals extremely high damage but has less durability. Trainers using it may need to revive or rejoin if Attack Forme Deoxys lands a powerful Charged Attack.
Some recommended attacks, including Moongeist Beam and Shadow Force, may require an Elite Charged TM when they are unavailable through normal TMs.
Can Attack Forme Deoxys Be Defeated Solo?
Yes, an Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO solo raid is possible with strong counters.
Attack Forme Deoxys has an enormous base Attack stat but an exceptionally low Defence stat. This makes it capable of damaging counters quickly while also losing raid health faster than most Legendary or Mythical bosses.
A solo attempt is most realistic with:
- High-level Dark or Ghost-type counters
- A powerful Mega Pokémon
- Foggy weather
- Suitable Friendship or event damage bonuses
- A prepared second battle party
| Group size | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| One Trainer | Possible with powerful counters |
| Two Trainers | Straightforward for prepared players |
| Three Trainers | Comfortable for most experienced groups |
| Four or more | Very safe |
Even though the raid can be completed solo, Attack Forme Deoxys may knock out several Pokémon because of its huge Attack stat. Preparing a second team can prevent valuable time being lost while reviving.
Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Perfect IV CP
The perfect IV Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO catch values are:
| Encounter conditions | Perfect IV CP |
|---|---|
| Level 20 without weather boost | 1,474 CP |
| Level 25 with Windy weather | 1,842 CP |
The standard non-weather-boosted raid catch range is approximately 1,372 CP to 1,474 CP.
During Windy weather, Attack Forme Deoxys can be encountered between approximately 1,716 CP and 1,842 CP.
An Attack Forme Deoxys caught at 1,474 CP or 1,842 CP under the corresponding conditions will have perfect 15/15/15 IVs.
Deoxys cannot be traded, so Trainers must catch the IV combination they want directly from raids or another eligible encounter.
Best Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Moveset
The best Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO moveset for Psychic-type damage is:
- Fast Attack: Zen Headbutt
- Charged Attack: Psycho Boost
Attack Forme Deoxys may have access to the following attacks:
Fast Attacks
- Zen Headbutt
- Poison Jab
Charged Attacks
- Psycho Boost
- Dark Pulse
- Zap Cannon
Zen Headbutt and Psycho Boost provide a complete Psychic-type moveset and allow both attacks to receive the same-type attack bonus.
Dark Pulse provides coverage against Ghost and Psychic-type Pokémon, while Zap Cannon can threaten Water and Flying-type opponents.
Despite its massive Attack stat, the available Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO moveset prevents it from becoming a leading Psychic raid attacker. Psycho Boost does not provide enough total damage to compensate for Deoxys fainting so quickly.
Is Attack Forme Deoxys Good in Pokémon GO Raids?
Attack Forme Deoxys has one of the highest Attack stats in Pokémon GO, but it is not considered a strong raid investment.
Its Defence is extremely low, meaning it can faint after taking only a small number of attacks. Raid performance depends on both damage per second and the amount of damage dealt before fainting.
Attack Forme Deoxys struggles to remain in battle long enough to take advantage of its enormous Attack stat.
Stronger Psychic-type raid attackers include:
- Mega Alakazam
- Mega Latios
- Shadow Mewtwo
- Mewtwo
- Hoopa Unbound
- Lunala
Attack Forme Deoxys can deal a burst of damage, but Trainers will usually receive better results from Pokémon with stronger moves and greater durability.
Is Attack Forme Deoxys Good in PvP?
Attack Forme Deoxys has very limited GO Battle League value.
Its enormous Attack stat causes it to reach league CP limits quickly, while its low Defence prevents it from surviving Charged Attacks.
A possible Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO PvP moveset is:
- Fast Attack: Poison Jab
- Charged Attack: Psycho Boost
- Second Charged Attack: Dark Pulse
Psycho Boost can deal heavy Psychic damage but lowers the user’s Attack after it is used. Dark Pulse provides coverage against Ghost and Psychic-type opponents.
Attack Forme Deoxys can occasionally surprise an opponent, but it is far less reliable than Defense Forme Deoxys. Trainers interested in PvP should normally save their Deoxys Candy for the Defense Forme instead.
What Is Attack Forme Deoxys?
Deoxys is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It was created when the DNA of an extraterrestrial virus mutated after being exposed to a laser beam.
Attack Forme Deoxys changes its body to maximise offensive power. Its arms become sharper and its overall shape becomes more aggressive than the Normal, Defense and Speed Formes.
The four Deoxys forms are:
- Normal Forme Deoxys
- Attack Forme Deoxys
- Defense Forme Deoxys
- Speed Forme Deoxys
An alien virus that fell to earth on a meteor underwent a DNA mutation to become this Pokémon.
Base stat total: 600
Is Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Worth Raiding?
Attack Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raids are worth completing for the Pokédex entry, shiny chance, Deoxys Candy and the opportunity to complete the full set of Deoxys forms.
It is not a priority raid or PvP investment. Despite its extraordinary Attack stat, its poor Defence and limited moveset prevent it from becoming a leading Psychic attacker.
Collectors may still want to continue raiding for shiny Attack Forme Deoxys, perfect IVs or additional Deoxys Candy that can be used on Defense Forme Deoxys.
The raid is also relatively easy to complete alone or with a small group, making it a convenient shiny hunt whenever Attack Forme Deoxys returns.
