BTD6 Round 24: How to Beat the First Camo Bloon

BTD6 Round 24 sends 20 Blue Bloons and one Camo Green. That last bloon is the problem: most starting towers cannot see Camo, so it can drift straight past a defence that has been working perfectly. A Ninja Monkey can see and pop it without any upgrades.

You can also use a 0-0-2 Dart Monkey with Enhanced Eyesight or a 0-0-2 Wizard with Monkey Sense. Pick whichever fits the towers you already have on the map. There is no reason to build an entire Monkey Village just to catch the first Camo Green.

How to beat BTD6 Round 24

The most straightforward fix for BTD6 Round 24 is to put a Ninja Monkey where the incoming bloons pass through its attack range. The Ninja can target Camo by default, so you do not need a special upgrade to deal with that first Camo Green. On short maps, place it early enough that it gets several chances to throw.

If you already use Dart Monkeys, the 0-0-2 Enhanced Eyesight upgrade gives a Dart Monkey Camo detection. A 0-0-2 Wizard Monkey with Monkey Sense also works if you already have a Wizard in range. Check the tower’s detection before spending more on raw damage. A stronger attack still cannot hit something the tower cannot see.

There is also a support solution: a Monkey Village with Radar Scanner lets towers inside its radius target Camo Bloons. That can help an existing cluster, although it is a much larger commitment than one early Ninja. You certainly don’t need to buy a Village solely for the first Camo Green.

Why your towers ignore the Camo Bloon

Camo is a targeting property. Ordinary Dart Monkeys, unupgraded Tack Shooters and many other towers cannot see a Camo Bloon, even when it passes directly through their range. The result looks like a missed shot, but the tower often never attempted to fire at it.

For BTD6 Round 24, watch what happens to the lone Camo Green. If the other bloons pop while that one keeps moving, inspect the towers nearest the track. At least one attacking tower needs Camo detection, or you need an effect that removes the Camo property before ordinary towers attack.

Do not confuse detection with the ability to pop every bloon type. A Ninja is excellent for the first Camo test, but its basic shurikens do not solve the Lead Bloons arriving on Round 28. Radar Scanner does not magically make a tower’s attack capable of damaging Lead either.

What to build before the round starts

When you are approaching BTD6 Round 24, keep your existing early-game damage in place and add the missing Camo coverage. A single well-positioned Ninja alongside your main defence is a sensible starting point on beginner maps. If your plan is to use a Dart Monkey, make sure you have bought both bottom-path upgrades to reach Enhanced Eyesight, not just Long Range Darts.

Put the Camo-capable tower where it sees a useful length of track. On maps with multiple entrances or separate lanes, a tower guarding the wrong path can still let the bloon through. On harder maps, check the actual route and line of sight instead of copying a placement from a different map.

You can test the idea in Sandbox where that mode is available: send a Camo Green through your chosen layout and watch whether your tower acquires it. Sandbox is useful for checking detection, but it does not prove that the same purchase order fits a restricted mode’s starting cash.

What comes after BTD6 Round 24?

Round 28 introduces Lead Bloons, which resist ordinary sharp projectiles. A Bomb Shooter or a Sniper Monkey using Full Metal Jacket can cover that separate weakness. Later Camo rounds demand more than merely clipping one Green Bloon, and Round 59 combines Camo with Lead. Plan both kinds of coverage before you reach that point.

Once you have cleared BTD6 Round 24, keep your Camo-capable tower contributing to the defence instead of treating it as a disposable fix. Build on that coverage with reliable Lead popping and enough damage for the first MOAB at Round 40. Those are three different checks, and solving one does not automatically solve the next.

BTD6 Round 24 FAQ

How many Camo Bloons are on Round 24?

In standard rounds, there are 20 Blues and exactly one Camo Green. It is meant to expose a missing detection option rather than overwhelm a capable defence.

Can a Ninja Monkey solo the Camo on Round 24?

A Ninja Monkey can detect and pop that Camo Bloon by itself if it is placed within range with enough time to attack. You still need other towers or sufficient overall damage for the rest of your run.

Does BTD6 Round 24 work the same way in every mode?

The Camo checkpoint described here is for standard round sets. Alternate Bloons Rounds and Apopalypse change the round patterns, and a different map can change which placements are safe.
