Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit: How to Find Ace’s Fire Powers

Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit lets you fight with Ace’s fire powers in Treasure Hunters. You can look for it as random floor loot in Battle Royale or Zero Build on Crossbones Isle. Once you’ve picked it up and used it, your character takes on Ace’s appearance and can attack with Fist Gun and Fire Fist.

You don’t need to unlock Ace from the Battle Pass before you can use his Devil Fruit. They’re different things: one is a character Outfit, while the other is a weapon you find during a match. Here’s how to track down the fruit and make sense of its two attacks.

Where to find the Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit

Search the ground loot around Crossbones Isle. Early November 1 gameplay reports identify the Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit as a random floor pickup, so there isn’t a proven landmark or building where one always appears. You can look around Arlong Park, Windmill Village and the smaller buildings between named locations, but none of those places is a guaranteed drop.

Start with enough weapons and shields to survive the first few minutes. As you move through a POI, check the items on the floor and read the name before swapping out something useful. If the fruit hasn’t appeared, continue your match and search the next area. A landing spot with plenty of ordinary loot gives you more chances to look without leaving yourself unarmed.

Some videos show different acquisition methods in Blitz Royale. Make sure the clip is from the playlist you’re actually playing before following it. The Treasure Hunters loot pool guide covers the wider equipment lineup.

How the Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit attacks work

The fruit gives you two fire-based abilities. Fist Gun fires quick attacks at enemies ahead of you. Fire Fist is the larger finishing move, useful when you’ve lined up an opponent and want a stronger hit. Epic’s Treasure Hunters update describes Ace’s fighting style as rapid fire followed by a powerful Fire Fist.

You don’t have to rush straight into a fight because you’ve found the fruit. Use a bit of cover, watch how the other player moves and save the bigger attack for a decent opening. If you miss, you’re still exposed to their gunfire. Keeping another usable gun and healing supplies in your loadout gives you options when a fight doesn’t go to plan.

Your HUD will show the controls for the equipped powers. Follow those rather than somebody else’s keybinds, particularly on a customised controller layout. No reliable first-party damage or cooldown table accompanies the season announcement, so exact numbers from a launch-day clip shouldn’t be treated as permanent.

Is Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit the same as Gum-Gum Fruit?

No. Ace uses fire, while Luffy’s fruit is built around stretchy punches, movement and a heavy slam. If you’re trying to finish the quest for travelling 250 metres with Gum-Gum Rocket, you need Luffy’s power, not Ace’s. Our Gum-Gum Fruit guide explains how the Rocket works.

For regular fights, the choice comes down to how you want to play. The Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit is a way to pressure opponents with its fire attacks, whereas Gum-Gum Rocket provides movement that can help you rotate or escape. Neither makes you immune to damage, so use cover and don’t assume a Devil Fruit guarantees the win.

Do you need the Ace Battle Pass skin?

No. Epic Games lists Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin in the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass, but buying or unlocking Ace isn’t part of finding the Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit. You can pick up the fruit in a match while wearing a completely different Outfit. Likewise, having the Ace skin equipped doesn’t put his fire powers in your inventory.

For Battle Pass characters and how to obtain them, see our Treasure Hunters Battle Pass guide. Our One Piece skins guide keeps Item Shop dates separate from weapons found on the island.

Can you get the Fortnite Flame-Flame Fruit every match?

You can look for it each match, but a random pickup isn’t a promise that it’ll appear on your route. There is no confirmed fixed Battle Royale spawn or boss that you must defeat to collect it. Loot normally, look out for the fruit’s name and don’t waste V-Bucks buying cosmetics in the hope of receiving a weapon.
