How to Get Fortnite Pirate Shop Access in Treasure Hunters

Fortnite Pirate Shop Access is a rare Treasure Hunt prize earned by opening ordinary Battle Royale Chests on Fortnite’s Crossbones Isle. If Fortnite Pirate Shop Access is awarded, player screenshots show two separate periods of eligible free Item Shop claims, one activation in 2026 and another in 2027. It is not part of the Battle Pass and it cannot be bought with V-Bucks.

There is no marked Chest, fixed drop location or published percentage chance for Fortnite Pirate Shop Access. The first publicly reported winner found the token in a normal-looking Chest during a Solos match on November 1, 2026. That is helpful evidence of how the reward works, but not a route that guarantees the same result for everybody else.

How to get Fortnite Pirate Shop Access from Battle Royale Chests

Start a Treasure Hunters Battle Royale match on Crossbones Isle. Search buildings, find regular loot Chests and open them as usual. Treasure Hunt bonuses appear at random when Chests pay out; the standard weapons and healing items are still part of each match. Keep an eye on the reward notice rather than assuming a particular container is special before opening it.

Your best bet is to stay alive long enough to open several Chests. Pick a landing spot where you can search a few buildings without getting dragged into a fight immediately. You do not need to defeat A$AP Rocky, purchase the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass or solve a Wanted Poster map to enter the reported Pirate Shop reward pool.

The first widely shared winner, snowslept, said they opened roughly 150 Chests before landing the token during their third match. That’s one player’s experience, not a guaranteed payout at Chest number 150. Epic hasn’t announced the odds or how many players can win.

What happens when a Pirate Shop reward drops?

A winning Chest reportedly displays the Treasure Hunt prize, with account access presented after the match. Player-shared screens show the Pirate Shop option inside the lobby Item Shop. There you can review the activation instead of starting it straight away. Do not confuse the moment you win Fortnite Pirate Shop Access with the moment its 14-day claiming period begins.

Once the reward appears on your account, head back to the lobby’s Item Shop. Players who won it found a Plunder the Item Shop panel with an Activate Now button. You can then browse the regular shop during your active window and claim eligible V-Bucks items individually at no V-Bucks cost. The reward does not automatically place every future outfit in your Locker.

Can squad members also receive the Pirate Shop token?

Early player accounts and contemporary reports say that when someone wins a qualifying Treasure Hunt prize in a squad, the eligible teammates may receive the same access. This makes playing together appealing because more people can search and open Chests during each match. It does not prove that the mathematical chance per Chest improves.

Do not assume the reported squad sharing covers spectators, members of another lobby or players who leave before the prize appears. Details such as no-fill teams and eliminated teammates have not been verified in the research. If your squad wins Fortnite Pirate Shop Access, each player should check their own post-match notification and Item Shop before relying on shared access.

Are 2026 and 2027 separate token drops?

The November 1 screenshots and reporting indicate that one successful Pirate Shop reward grants two activation opportunities. The first is usable in the 2026 window, reported as November 1 through December 15. The second is for 2027, reported as January 1 through December 15. Each lasts 14 days from activation.

It’s two separate fortnight-long chances to shop, not a permanent free Shop for two years. Exact end times and the current deadline should be checked in the token’s own interface, because a date alone does not tell players around the world which hour the button closes.

What can you actually claim for free?

During an active Fortnite Pirate Shop Access period, the winner reports being able to pick eligible outfits, emotes, pickaxes and Jam Tracks from the Shop without spending V-Bucks. Real-money packs, gifts to other accounts and Battle Pass-related purchases are excluded. There is also a reported Sidekick restriction: only one eligible Sidekick not already owned.

According to the first winner, anything successfully claimed stays in the Locker. Look at what’s in the Shop before starting the timer, especially if you’re waiting for a particular skin. You will not be given cosmetics that never appear during your chosen 14 days, and a shop rotation can matter more than the day you found the Chest.

Is Pirate Shop Access a special golden Chest?

No confirmed pre-marked golden Chest has been identified for Fortnite Pirate Shop Access. The normal Chest seen by the first reported winner is a useful correction to viral claims about guaranteed Pirate Shop locations. Do not mix up ordinary loot Chests with buried Sprite Chests, Captain X’s large chained Chest or a treasure chest from an older Fortnite map.
