99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker: Track Every Item

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker lets you record every weapon, tool, armour piece, food item, fuel source and rare object you have discovered during a run. With dozens of items spread across cabins, chests, traders, biomes, classes and limited events, remembering everything you have found can quickly become difficult.

Most items in 99 Nights in the Forest are temporary and do not carry between separate games. This tracker therefore records items you have discovered at least once, rather than suggesting that every item remains permanently owned on your Roblox account.

Use the interactive 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker below to mark discovered items, search the collection and monitor your overall completion percentage. Your selections are saved automatically on the browser and device you are currently using.

How to Use the 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker provides a visual checklist covering the main tools, weapons, consumables, materials and special items available throughout the game.

Select an item card after finding or using that item during a run. The completion totals at the top of the tracker will update immediately.

You can use the search box and filters to narrow the collection by category, availability and discovery status.

To use the item tracker:

  1. Search for an item by name.
  2. Filter the tracker by item category.
  3. Select an item after discovering it.
  4. Separate permanent and event items.
  5. View discovered or missing items.
  6. Check your updated completion percentage.
  7. Return after future games to continue the collection.

Tracker progress is stored locally in your browser. It will not automatically transfer to another device or synchronise with your Roblox account.

What Are Items in 99 Nights in the Forest?

Items are usable or collectable objects that support survival, exploration, crafting and combat.

Players can find tools for gathering resources, weapons for defeating enemies, food for managing hunger and fuel for maintaining the campfire. Other items are connected to fishing, animal taming, farming, child rescues, crafting stations and limited events.

The game’s item system includes broad categories such as weapons, tools, resources, food, armour, medical supplies, keys and Trim Kits.

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker separates these categories so players can focus on a specific part of the collection rather than scrolling through one enormous list.

99 Nights in the Forest Item Categories

Item CategoryMain Purpose
ToolsGathering wood, fishing, taming and performing specialist actions
StorageIncreasing the number of items a player can carry
NavigationRevealing the map and helping players return to camp
WeaponsDefeating animals, Cultists and other enemies
AmmunitionSupplying conventional firearms and specialist weapons
ArmourReducing incoming damage
Medical itemsRestoring health and reviving teammates
FoodRestoring hunger, health or temporary bonuses
FuelMaintaining and upgrading the campfire
MaterialsCrafting equipment, structures and advanced items
Animal dropsTrading, crafting and class progression
Farming itemsProducing renewable food
Taming itemsBefriending and maintaining animal companions
KeysUnlocking child cages and other locations
Trim KitsModifying or improving compatible equipment
Event itemsCompleting temporary seasonal objectives

Items are a central part of the survival loop because they are used to gather resources, fight enemies, fuel the fire and progress through the map.

How Many Items Are in 99 Nights in the Forest?

The exact number of items changes regularly because updates can add new weapons, crafting materials, biome equipment and temporary event objects.

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker contains more than 90 currently documented items across normal and event categories.

Different databases may report different totals because some count class-exclusive equipment, temporary objects, furniture and historical event items separately.

Rather than relying on one fixed number forever, the tracker can be expanded whenever a new update introduces additional items.

Do Items Carry Between Runs?

Most normal survival items do not carry into a new game.

Weapons, food, fuel, materials, armour and tools generally belong to the current run. Players must find or obtain them again after starting another survival game.

Permanent currencies, classes, class levels and badges are tracked separately from temporary run equipment.

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker records whether you have discovered an item at least once. It does not represent the contents of your current in-game Sack.

Tools in 99 Nights in the Forest

Tools allow players to gather resources, carry supplies, navigate the map and perform specialist activities.

Common tool groups include:

Tool TypePurpose
AxesCutting trees and gathering logs
SacksCarrying additional loose items
FlashlightsProviding light and affecting certain monsters
MapsDisplaying discovered areas
CompassesShowing travel direction
Fishing rodsCatching fish and other rewards
Taming FlutesTaming eligible animals
Watering equipmentSupporting crop production
Specialist toolsCompleting crafting, event or biome activities

Tools may be found through exploration, traders, structures or class starting equipment. The Pelt Trader can also provide tool upgrades in exchange for animal pelts.

Improved tools can dramatically increase efficiency. A stronger Axe gathers wood faster, while a better Sack reduces the number of return journeys needed during exploration.

Weapons in 99 Nights in the Forest

Weapons are used to defeat Wolves, Alpha Wolves, Bears, Cultists and other hostile creatures.

The weapon pool includes conventional firearms, melee equipment, explosives, fire weapons and Alien Tech.

Weapon TypeExamples
Basic meleeSpears, axes and heavy tools
Advanced meleeKatana, Morningstar and specialist class weapons
FirearmsRevolver, Rifle and Shotgun
Alien TechRaygun, Laser Cannon and Alien Shotgun
Fire weaponsFlamethrower and Infernal equipment
Poison weaponsBlowpipe and poison-based equipment
ExplosivesGrenades and explosive specialist weapons
TrapsBear Traps and defensive equipment

Some weapons can be found inside the world, while others are supplied by classes or obtained from specialist locations.

Axes and primary weapons are generally found through exploration or traders rather than crafted through the standard crafting bench.

See our [Best Weapons in 99 Nights in the Forest] guide for a complete weapon ranking.

Ammunition and Weapon Energy

Conventional firearms require the correct ammunition type.

A Revolver cannot use Rifle Ammo, while Shotguns require their own ammunition. Players should store matching ammunition near each weapon rather than keeping every round mixed together.

Alien Tech weapons use rechargeable energy instead of ordinary bullets. This removes the need to find physical ammunition, but firing too frequently can drain or overheat the weapon.

The main ammunition and energy groups include:

  1. Revolver Ammo
  2. Rifle Ammo
  3. Shotgun Ammo
  4. Explosive ammunition
  5. Fuel for fire-based weapons
  6. Alien Tech energy

Conserve conventional ammunition by using melee weapons against weaker animals.

Armour in 99 Nights in the Forest

Armour reduces incoming damage and improves survival during difficult objectives.

Basic armour may provide limited protection, while specialist armour can offer stronger defence or interact with a particular class.

Armour is especially useful when:

  1. Clearing Cultist Strongholds
  2. Rescuing missing children
  3. Entering dangerous biomes
  4. Fighting Bears and Alpha Wolves
  5. Defending the camp
  6. Playing alone
  7. Attempting Hard Mode

Armour does not replace food, healing items or careful combat. Players can still be defeated while wearing strong protection.

Medical Items

Bandages and Medkits are two of the most valuable items in multiplayer.

Both can heal active players and revive defeated teammates. Bandages can also be crafted through the Anvil after the Workshop has been accessed.

Medical ItemMain Use
BandageHealing and reviving another player
MedkitStronger healing and reviving another player
Healing foodRestoring limited health and hunger
Class medical suppliesStarting equipment for support classes

Carry at least one revival item whenever exploring with another player.

For complete instructions, see [How to Revive Players in 99 Nights in the Forest].

Food Items

Food restores hunger and may also provide health or temporary bonuses.

Food can be obtained through hunting, gathering, farming, fishing, exploration and cooking.

The main food groups include:

Food TypeExamples
Basic meatMorsels and Steak
Gathered foodBerries and vegetables
FishMackerel, Salmon and larger catches
Packaged foodMREs and discovered supplies
Prepared mealsStew and specialist recipes
Event foodTemporary seasonal ingredients and meals

Prepared meals generally provide stronger benefits than basic ingredients.

Consumables can restore hunger, recover health or provide temporary effects depending on the item.

Store emergency food at camp and carry a smaller supply during exploration.

Fuel Items

Fuel keeps the campfire burning and allows it to be upgraded.

Common fuel sources include Logs, Coal, Fuel Canisters and Oil Barrels. Other organic resources can also be processed into fuel through advanced equipment.

The Biofuel Processor converts organic materials such as food and pelts into efficient campfire fuel.

Logs are useful during the opening stages, but processed wood becomes increasingly valuable for crafting. Do not burn every Log after the first campfire upgrades.

Keep an emergency fuel reserve near the campfire so the group is not forced to search the forest during a dangerous night.

Crafting Materials

Crafting materials are used to build beds, storage, maps, farming equipment, machines and other progression objects.

Wood and Scrap are two of the most important materials in the game.

Other materials can include:

  1. Bolts
  2. Cultist Gems
  3. Gem of the Forest
  4. Animal drops
  5. Seeds and Saplings
  6. Specialist biome materials
  7. Meteor materials
  8. Event currencies
  9. Alien components
  10. Advanced crafting resources

The Gem of the Forest is used for high-level crafting progression, including the top crafting bench tier and its related recipes.

Do not burn or grind an unfamiliar material until the team confirms it is not required for an important recipe.

Pelts and Animal Drops

Animals can provide food, pelts and specialist crafting resources.

Pelts may be traded with the Pelt Trader, used in crafting or consumed through particular class mechanics.

Common animal drops include:

Animal DropPossible Use
Bunny FootTrading and medical crafting
Wolf PeltTrading, crafting and class progression
Alpha Wolf PeltHigher-value trading
Bear PeltValuable trading and progression
Biome peltsSpecialist trades and recipes
MeatFood and animal taming
FishFood, recipes and taming

Check whether the team needs Bandages, taming food or class progression before trading every animal drop.

Fishing Items

Fishing rods allow players to catch fish and obtain additional rewards.

The fishing system contains different rod tiers, with stronger rods improving performance and access to valuable catches.

Fish can be used for:

  1. Restoring hunger
  2. Preparing meals
  3. Taming animals
  4. Completing class objectives
  5. Trading or crafting
  6. Unlocking fishing-related badges

The hidden yay fishing code also requires the player to hold a fishing rod and enter the phrase during a run.

Taming Items

Animal taming requires Taming Flutes and specific food.

The main normal flute tiers are:

Taming FlutePurpose
Old Taming FluteTaming easier animals
Good Taming FluteTaming stronger animals
Strong Taming FluteTaming the most powerful animals

Different animals request different combinations of meat, fish, vegetables and prepared food.

Use our [99 Nights in the Forest Animal Taming Tracker] to record every completed tame and check the current requirements.

Farming Items

Farming creates a renewable source of food near camp.

Farm Plots, Seeds and Watering equipment allow players to grow crops throughout a longer survival run.

Common farming items include:

  1. Farm Plots
  2. Seeds
  3. Saplings
  4. Watering Cans
  5. Carrots
  6. Pumpkins
  7. Sweet Potatoes
  8. Chili
  9. Specialist crops
  10. Farming upgrades

Saplings can be planted in a chosen location, helping players create a more renewable supply of trees.

Farming is especially helpful in multiplayer because additional players consume food more quickly.

Keys in 99 Nights in the Forest

Keys unlock child cages and specialist locations.

The four missing children are associated with different coloured keys obtained after defeating their guarding enemies.

KeyAssociated Rescue
Red KeyDino Kid
Blue KeyKraken Kid
Yellow KeySquid Kid
Gray KeyKoala Kid

Other updates and areas can introduce additional specialist keys, including biome or boss-related keys.

Keys should not be treated as ordinary crafting materials. Complete the associated objective before leaving the area.

See [How to Find and Rescue All Children in 99 Nights in the Forest] for every rescue requirement.

What Are Trim Kits?

Trim Kits are specialist items used to modify compatible armour or equipment.

Different Trim Kits may provide visual or functional changes depending on the current update and item system.

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker places Trim Kits in their own category because they are easier to miss than standard survival equipment.

Do not discard a Trim Kit simply because it has no immediate use. Store it until compatible equipment or the correct crafting station becomes available.

Event Items

Limited updates can introduce temporary tools, currencies, food and equipment.

Previous seasonal content has included objects such as Ice Skates, Shovels, Ladders, Sleds, Candy Canes and event-specific food.

For example, Christmas content introduced items used for travelling across snow and rescuing event characters.

Event items may become unavailable after the associated update ends. The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker separates them from normal items so players do not waste time searching for inactive content.

Best Items to Find First

Beginners should prioritise items that improve survival and resource gathering.

The most useful early discoveries include:

  1. A better Axe
  2. An improved Sack
  3. A Flashlight
  4. A Map
  5. A Compass
  6. Food
  7. Fuel
  8. A Bandage
  9. A dependable weapon
  10. Matching ammunition
  11. Armour
  12. Crafting materials

A rare weapon is helpful, but the group still needs food, fuel and materials to complete the run.

Rarest Items in 99 Nights in the Forest

Rare items are generally obtained from dangerous locations, high-value chests, class loadouts, specialist crafting stations or temporary events.

Potentially rare categories include:

  1. Premium class weapons
  2. Alien Tech equipment
  3. Strong armour
  4. High-level tools
  5. Gem of the Forest
  6. Specialist Trim Kits
  7. Meteor equipment
  8. Strong Taming Flutes
  9. Event-exclusive items
  10. Boss or biome drops

Rarity does not always equal usefulness. A Map or Bandage may provide more immediate value than a rare decorative or specialist item.

Does the Item Tracker Connect to Roblox?

No. The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker is an independent checklist created by The Click.

Selecting an item will not add it to your Roblox inventory. Finding an item in the game will not automatically update this page.

You must manually mark each item after discovering it.

The tracker does not require a Roblox login, email address or separate account.

Does the Item Tracker Save Progress?

Yes. Tracker progress is saved locally in the browser.

Your selections should remain when returning with the same device and browser.

Progress may disappear when:

  1. Browser storage is cleared
  2. Private browsing is used
  3. You change browsers
  4. You move to another device
  5. Website data is deleted
  6. A privacy extension blocks browser storage

The tracker does not currently synchronise progress between devices.

How to Reset the Item Tracker

Use the reset option inside the 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker to remove all saved discoveries.

Resetting cannot normally be undone. Only use it when beginning a new checklist or correcting inaccurate progress.

Players sharing one computer should use separate browser profiles where possible.

Common Item Collection Mistakes

Players attempting to discover every item commonly make the same mistakes.

These include:

  1. Ignoring class-exclusive equipment
  2. Forgetting temporary event items
  3. Burning unfamiliar objects as fuel
  4. Grinding rare materials too early
  5. Leaving keys behind after combat
  6. Assuming every item can be crafted
  7. Searching for inactive seasonal objects
  8. Overlooking trader rewards
  9. Ignoring fishing and taming equipment
  10. Confusing permanent progression with temporary run loot

Use the 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker before destroying or trading an unfamiliar object.

The 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker provides a simple way to record every weapon, tool, resource and rare object you have discovered. Use the filters to work through individual item categories, mark each new find and return after future runs to continue building your collection.

Because normal equipment resets between games, the 99 Nights in the Forest Item Tracker focuses on discovery rather than permanent ownership. Combine it with our badge, class and animal trackers to monitor every major part of your 99 Nights in the Forest progress.
