Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research is a paid US$1.99 ticket with Special Background encounters and premium items for the October 10 event. That gives players more than the usual headline event window to think about.
Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research is aimed at players who want more controlled encounter opportunities rather than just extra wild spawns. Its headline value is the trio of Special Background Zorua encounters, backed up by premium items and additional encounters during the event.
Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research rewards
The announced rewards include three encounters with Zorua that have the 2026 Community Day Special Background, additional Zorua encounters, one Premium Battle Pass and one Rare Candy XL. Pokémon GO also says there will be further rewards beyond the items named in the announcement. For anyone trying to use the event efficiently, that is one of the most useful parts of Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research.
The three guaranteed Special Background encounters are the most distinctive part of the ticket. Wild, Field Research and lure encounters can also produce Special Background Zorua, but the paid research gives collectors a clearly defined set of three such encounters.
How much the Zorua Community Day ticket costs
The ticket is priced at US$1.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier. Pokémon GO says tickets will go live closer to the event, so there is no need to worry if the purchase option is not yet visible in the in-game shop when checking early.
Tickets can also be gifted to friends once you have reached Great Friends or higher. A ticket cannot be gifted to someone who has already bought the research or has already received it as a gift, and the usual non-refundable ticket conditions apply. It also explains why Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research deserves its own plan instead of being folded into a vague event checklist.
Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research practical details
No. Pokémon GO specifically states that this Community Day Special Research will not feature an in-game medal and will not include a story. The value is therefore in the encounters and item rewards rather than a narrative chapter or collectible medal. It also explains why Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research deserves its own plan instead of being folded into a vague event checklist.
That distinction is useful if you normally buy Community Day tickets for story content. Here, the headline reason to consider the ticket is the set of Special Background Zorua encounters and the extra event resources.
Free ways to get more Zorua during Community Day
Buying the ticket is not required to participate in Zorua Community Day. Zorua appears more often in the wild from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and regular Lure Modules can continue attracting it until 9:00 p.m. with the boosted Shiny chance intact.
Free Field Research can award Stardust, Ultra Balls and additional Zorua encounters, with some tasks capable of leading to a Special Background encounter. Community Ambassador check-ins also offer Timed Research with more Special Background Zorua and premium-item rewards. Keeping that in mind makes Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research much less likely to trip you up once the event is underway.
Is the Zorua ticket worth buying?
The answer depends on what you value. Collectors chasing the annual background get a clear benefit from the three included Special Background encounters, while players mainly interested in Shiny hunting still have the free wild, lure and Field Research routes available throughout the event.
The Premium Battle Pass and Rare Candy XL add some item value, but the ticket does not unlock the featured Sucker Punch evolution. If your main goal is simply to catch Zorua and evolve one with the Community Day move, the free event already covers that.
Ticket details can still be adjusted before they go on sale, so use the Pokémon GO website for the live purchase information. The rewards currently announced for Pokémon GO Zorua Community Day Special Research are listed in the official event post.
