PETAPETA The Hollow quest takes you through three levels of a Japanese horror maze before you can claim the Ofuda Survival Kit in Roblox’s Halloween event. Clear the Key and Ofuda objectives on Levels 1 and 2, investigate the red-smoke room on Level 3 and earn the event badge before heading back to The Hollow hub.
The last step catches people out: the Ofuda you place inside PETAPETA is a puzzle item, while the Ofuda Survival Kit is an avatar accessory. Earning the badge doesn’t automatically put the accessory in your inventory. You’ll need to visit a secret room on Floor 8 for that separate reward.
How to start the PETAPETA The Hollow quest
Start in The Hollow by Roblox Presents and ride the elevator to Floor 8. Find the PETAPETA console in the hidden hallway, interact with it, then follow the cyan floor markers to the glowing portal. Step through to enter PETAPETA. You can also open the official PETAPETA experience directly, but the Hollow portal provides the clearest route to the crossover.
Inside PETAPETA, dismiss the opening screens and use the lobby’s matchmaking panel to join a run. Follow the green arrows once Level 1 begins. During the PETAPETA The Hollow quest, use closets to hide from the monster, then continue when it moves away.
PETAPETA The Hollow quest Level 1: Key, Box and Ofuda
On Level 1, follow the green arrows and search for a Key and locked Box. Find the key first, use it on the box and take the Ofuda talisman inside. Carry the talisman to its designated place, activate it and allow the objective to finish before moving forward.
You don’t need to guess a lock combination on Level 1. The main challenge is finding the two items without being caught. If the monster appears while you’re carrying the Ofuda, hide in a closet, listen for it to pass and then resume the trip to the placement point.
PETAPETA The Hollow quest Level 2: Safe code and Key
Level 2 adds a safe. Search the rooms for a piece of paper with your run’s combination. It may show Japanese characters rather than numbers. Find the safe and match the characters on its dial to the paper, then open it and take the Key. Unlock the Box, take the next Ofuda, place it on the marked floor and let it activate to reach Level 3.
Don’t copy the safe code from another player’s screenshot. Read the paper in your own run and enter its characters in order. If the safe stays shut, check the clue and the dial carefully before trying again.
PETAPETA The Hollow quest Level 3: Red-smoke room and peephole
On Level 3, follow the objective towards the evil room. Look for red or pink smoke, then enter the marked room and interact with the peephole surrounded by bloody handprints. When the entity approaches, respond to the Avoid prompts on screen. Continue until the mission-complete message appears and you earn the The Hollow 2026 PETAPETA badge.
The peephole encounter is the event requirement. You can carry on with PETAPETA’s normal Level 3 safe, key, box and Ofuda puzzles afterwards, but once the event badge appears, you can return to The Hollow and claim your item without finishing those extra objectives.
If a monster catches you before the badge appears, return to the red-smoke room and try the peephole again. Respond to the on-screen prompts until the mission registers rather than leaving after a quick look.
How to claim the Ofuda Survival Kit on Floor 8
Once the PETAPETA The Hollow quest badge is awarded, return to The Hollow by Roblox Presents and take the elevator to Floor 8. Find the PETAPETA reward pedestal by its secret-room console and interact with it to claim the free Ofuda Survival Kit back accessory and 10 Hollow Tickets.
The reward is not at the main Piggy portal or on Floor 9. Our Floor 8 guide covers the separate WARDEN object puzzle on that floor. You do not need to confuse those five object pedestals with the partner-game reward pedestal in its secret room.
PETAPETA The Hollow quest has two separate confirmations worth checking: the PETAPETA quest badge after the final level objective, and the Ofuda Survival Kit in your Roblox avatar inventory after you use the hub pedestal. PETAPETA The Hollow quest not working?
Level 1 won’t end: open the locked Box using its Key, take the Ofuda and place it at the objective spot. Picking it up alone doesn’t finish the level.
Level 2 safe won’t open: find the paper in your current maze and use its combination. Numbers shared by another player are not a substitute for your own clue.
Can’t find the Level 3 quest: search for the doorway with red or pink smoke, then interact with the peephole inside.
No badge after looking through the hole: stay in the peephole encounter and respond to each Avoid prompt until you see the mission-complete message.
Have the badge but not the Ofuda Survival Kit: return to The Hollow’s Floor 8 Secret Room and interact with the correct pedestal. The UGC claim is separate.
When does the PETAPETA The Hollow quest end?
Roblox’s official reward collection deadline is Monday, November 2, 2026 at 8 PM GMT. The October 31 finale isn’t the last opportunity to play these quests, but you do need to finish the badge and hub pedestal claim before rewards close.
