Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program is live in Madden Ultimate Team from October 15 at 1:30 p.m. ET through November 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The Halloween programme brings Monster and Mad Scientist Player Items, Candy, a Field Pass, Pumpkin Pass, Trick or Treat CPU games, Most Feared H2H, EVOs, Sets and crossover rewards with College Football 27 Nightmares.
The fastest start is the free Welcome Pack. Log into MUT before November 5 to claim an 81 OVR Za’Darius Smith, then use Candy Bar Upgrade Items earned through the programme to raise him to 89 OVR without putting him through another Evolution.
Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program dates
The Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program opened on October 15 at 1:30 p.m. ET and runs until November 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET. EA describes it as the annual Halloween MUT programme, with multiple releases and extra Halloween-weekend bonuses still to come.
Candy lasts a little longer than the core programme. EA says any unspent Candy is automatically converted into Coins when the currency expires on November 12, 2026, so the event and currency deadlines are not the same.

Monster factions and Mad Scientists explained
The Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program splits Player Items into four Monster factions plus Mad Scientists. Each Monster faction Chemistry boosts attributes around a particular archetype, and adding more Monsters from the same faction strengthens those boosts.
Mad Scientists work differently. They are Motivator Player Items that add further attribute bonuses to Monsters in a specific faction. EA uses Marshawn Lynch as one of the launch Mad Scientists, connecting his Beast Mode identity to the programme’s chemistry system.
How Candy works in Most Feared
Candy is the limited currency running through the Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program. You earn it from Challenges, Events, the Field Pass and other programme activities, then spend it in the Most Feared Candy Store.
The store sells Packs and Candy Bar Upgrade Items. Spending Candy also progresses the Pumpkin Pass, so buying something does double duty: you receive the Store item and move the Halloween reward track forward.

Most Feared Field Pass rewards
The free Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program Field Pass can award up to 8,000 Candy, multiple Candy Bar Upgrade Items, BND Most Feared Player Packs, a Most Feared Spooky Pack and a special Chemistry EVO.
The Premium Pass costs 1,000 Madden Points. It immediately gives a Platinum 80+ OVR Player Pack and adds the opportunity to earn up to 8,700 more Candy, taking the combined free and premium total to 16,700 Candy. Additional BND Player Packs, a Scary Pack and another Spooky Pack sit on the premium track.
How the Pumpkin Pass works
Every player in the Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program gets a Pumpkin Pack simply for taking part. Spending Candy in the Candy Store levels the Pumpkin Pass and improves that pack before its Halloween payout.
EA says higher-level Pumpkin Packs have a better chance of selecting a higher-quality Most Feared Player Item from the available pool. The Pumpkin Pass grants its reward on October 31, so Candy spending before Halloween affects the version you receive.
Free Za’Darius Smith Welcome Pack
Log into the Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program before November 5 to receive the Welcome Pack containing 81 OVR Za’Darius Smith. His Team Chemistry can be changed from the Falcons to any of the six other NFL teams he played for.

Trick or Treat CPU event
Trick or Treat is the CPU event inside the Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program, sending you through a neighbourhood of themed houses. Beat the team inside a house to earn Candy Quicksells and a key that opens the next door.
Clear every house in the weekly sequence to earn an exclusive Most Feared Player Item. EA names 86 OVR Adam Prentice as the first weekly reward and says new doors open each week. Once a house has paid out, there is no need to keep replaying it for the same key progression.

Most Feared H2H House Rule
The H2H side of the Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program uses a Haunted House Rule where first downs require 20 yards instead of 10. EA has three event tiers with different quarter lengths and difficulty settings.
Two tiers use three-minute quarters, while the third uses four-minute quarters on All-Madden Competitive difficulty. Entry costs and the finer rules can vary by event version, so check the current in-game event panel before queueing.
Most Feared EVOs
Level 7 of the free Field Pass unlocks a Most Feared EVO that can raise an eligible 80–84 OVR Most Feared Player Item to 85 OVR. It also replaces the default single Scary Chemistry bucket with a flexible choice across the three Scary Chem options.
Two Premium EVOs are sold for 300 Points or 35,500 Coins each. One mirrors the 85 OVR upgrade, while the Monster Chem Swap EVO targets 86–89 OVR items and changes the locked Chemistry bucket without raising OVR.

Most Feared Sets
The Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program has Sets from 80 OVR through an 89 OVR Champion Fantasy Pack. Lower OVR Player Items are exchanged upwards, with the top Champion set requiring three 86 OVR Most Feared Players plus two 86–87 OVR players of any programme.

College Football 27 Nightmares crossover
The Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program also connects to College Football 27 Nightmares. EA has cross-game objectives, XP, Player Packs, Candy Bar Upgrade Items and crossover tokens moving between MUT and CUT.

Most Feared Twitch Drops and MCS
EA is running a Most Feared Open Directory through October 18. Watching featured creators can award Gridiron Tokens at multiple watch-time milestones and a Gridiron Super Token at five hours, provided your EA and Twitch accounts are linked.
The MCS Open Qualifier: Most Feared also runs October 17–18 with a $50,000 prize pool. The winner secures a Madden Bowl spot, while November 11’s MCS Pro League: Most Feared includes a Twitch viewership Player Item reward.
When does Most Feared end?
The core Madden NFL 27 Most Feared Program ends on November 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The free Za’Darius Smith Welcome Pack must also be claimed before that deadline.
Unused Candy converts to Coins on November 12, giving the currency a later cleanup date than the main programme. Halloween-weekend temporary boosts and the Pumpkin Pass reward happen before both of those deadlines.
