Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date is 3 November 2026, when Atari’s giant-monster fighting game returns to Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The classic 2002 arena brawler is getting remastered graphics, new online fights and an updated system for unlocking the roster.

If you remember flattening skyscrapers with Godzilla and Ghidorah, the new version should feel pleasantly familiar. Pipeworks has kept the monster-on-monster action while giving players more solo campaigns and online multiplayer. The launch day is confirmed, although the hour depends on your platform.

Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date: Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date on every platform

Tuesday, 3 November 2026 is the announced release day for the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam versions. Nintendo UK, PlayStation and Valve’s Steam listing all agree, and Atari advertises the same date for its physical preorder shipments.

Pipeworks is returning as developer, with Atari publishing the modern release. This is an updated version of Destroy All Monsters Melee, not a new numbered sequel, and it retains the original focus on destructive kaiju battles.

What time does Godzilla Melee Remastered unlock?

The UK PlayStation store lists 3 November at 2pm UTC, which is 2pm GMT for Britain. That gives PS5 buyers a specific published launch time. A Steam or Nintendo release date on its own doesn’t establish an equivalent worldwide clock time.

For the Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date on other systems, check your store countdown nearer launch. Console release times can vary between regions, and nothing here establishes a universal midnight launch for all platforms.

Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date: Is it on Nintendo Switch 2 or the original Switch?

The advertised Nintendo version is specifically Nintendo Switch 2. The UK product listing describes handheld, tabletop and TV play and notes HDR output on compatible televisions. Atari hasn’t announced an original Nintendo Switch edition as part of the same release.

Nintendo is also listing up to four local players and two online players. Online matches require Nintendo Switch Online and an account, while couch play needs a compatible controller for every participant.

PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC availability

PlayStation’s UK store lists a PS5 version, with local play for one to four and up to two online participants. The Xbox Store lists the title only for Xbox Series X|S, including 4K Ultra HD capability and the same two-person online limit.

On PC, the game is available through Steam, whose listing includes online PvP, shared-screen multiplayer and Remote Play Together. A demo has been announced for 15 October on Steam, ahead of the Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date.

What’s actually changed since 2002?

Atari describes 12 playable kaiju, eight arenas with day and night variants, improved visuals and quality-of-life features. Rage Mode strikes, ranged energy attacks and throwing buildings are still central to the mayhem.

The monster unlock process has been changed so fighters, arenas and gallery items can be earned in your chosen order. The new version also includes additional solo campaigns for each kaiju, alongside local Versus and Melee battles.

Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date: Preorders, local play and launch plans

Atari’s US online shop advertises $29.99 for the game, with physical preorder shipping scheduled from 3 November. Regional digital prices and the precise time an individual copy becomes playable can differ by storefront.

The Godzilla Melee Remastered Release Date arrives before the holiday season, and there’s plenty here for solo players as well as groups. If you’re buying primarily for online battles, remember that cross-platform matchmaking hasn’t been confirmed, even though every announced platform supports online play.
