Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband is the final Festival promotion and the point where the campaign starts treating you as a Horizon Legend rather than another driver climbing the ranks. Reaching it takes much more than exploring the map or filling Discover Japan pages, because Wristband progress belongs to the structured Festival path. Players can spend dozens of hours collecting cars and Stamps while still being short of the final promotion if the Festival side has been neglected.
The route to Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband is flexible, but the underlying rule is consistent across the campaign. Festival events, supporting activities and some early Horizon Play levels build Horizon Festival Points, then promotion requires a Wristband Event. The final reward matters because it opens an exclusive endgame area and the longest Goliath-style event in the game, so Gold changes what you can actually access rather than only adding a title.

To earn Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband, progress through all seven Festival Wristbands and complete the final promotion route that turns your character into a Horizon Legend. Playground Games structures each rank around earning enough Festival progress and then finishing a Wristband Event. Gold is the final colour after Purple, so there is no shortcut that lets a new account enter Legend Island simply by owning an R-class car or discovering the map.
Fastest useful sources of Festival progress
The quickest path to Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband is not one fixed event because the Festival gives you several ways to earn progress. Complete Road, Dirt and Cross Country events you can win reliably, then use PR Stunts, Skills and other available Festival activities to fill gaps. Horizon Play levels up to Level 25 also award Horizon Festival Points, which can be particularly efficient if you already enjoy multiplayer and need progress toward a promotion.
Wristband Events still have to be completed
A full progress meter does not automatically award Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband. Each promotion step ends with a Wristband Event, including Showcases and Horizon Rush obstacle challenges, and that final event has to be completed. If progress appears stuck at the top of a rank, inspect the map and campaign flow for the promotion event rather than repeating ordinary races. This is a common point of confusion when the meter looks finished.
Why Discover Japan Stamps do not replace Festival progress
Discover Japan can run alongside the push for Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband, but Stamps are a different system. Exploration, mascots, photos, Street Races, Touge Battles and Jobs feed the Collection Journal and Stamp path, unlocking things such as Barn Find rumours and houses. They are valuable, but they do not automatically substitute for Festival promotion. Use the Journal to check which branch a current activity is actually advancing.
Purple Wristband is the final major class gate
Before Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband, Purple is an important benchmark because Playground Games says Hypercars cannot be used in structured Festival races until at least that rank. Reaching Purple therefore opens much of the fastest machinery before the final Legend promotion. If your favourite hypercar remains excluded from an earlier Festival event, that restriction is part of campaign progression rather than a garage bug.
What Gold Wristband unlocks
The main payoff for Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband is Horizon Legend status and an invitation to Legend Island. This exclusive area contains its own tracks and activities, including the Legend Island Circuit and the Colossus, which loops the entire map on the freeway. Playground Games describes the island as an endgame space suited to R-class cars, so preparing a stable high-performance car before the final promotion is worthwhile.
Horizon Legend achievement
Earning Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband also unlocks the Horizon Legend achievement, worth 50 Gamerscore on the official achievements list. That makes Gold one of the clearest campaign completion milestones. It does not mean every Discover Japan activity, car or Collection Journal entry is finished, however. Horizon Festival and exploration completion remain separate, so completionists still have a large amount to do after becoming a Legend.
What to do if Gold progression feels slow
If Forza Horizon 6 Gold Wristband progress feels slow, stop repeating activities that are no longer moving the Festival meter and check the Journal for uncompleted Festival events or promotion requirements. Mix race types, clear efficient PR Stunts and use early Horizon Play ranks if they are still available to you. The system is designed to let different driving styles contribute, so forcing one difficult event over and over is usually unnecessary.
