Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest is live in the Item Shop for Fortnitemares 2026, with The Deer finally available as a Fortnite outfit instead of the August teaser being the only thing players had to go on. Epic is selling The Deer on its own and as part of a full five-item 99 Nights in the Forest Bundle.

The current Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest lineup is straightforward: The Deer outfit costs 1,500 V-Bucks, while the full bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks. Epic also lists the Old Axe Pickaxe, Taming Flame Emote, The Deer’s Eyes Wrap and Old Sack Back Bling in the set. The Deer listing is available until October 16, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time.

The live Fortnite shop now gives us the complete cosmetic set. Epic lists the 99 Nights in the Forest Bundle at a discounted 2,000 V-Bucks, down from an original combined offer value of 2,900 V-Bucks.

The Deer offer itself includes the Old Sack Back Bling for 1,500 V-Bucks. Epic also sells Old Sack separately for 300 V-Bucks, so players who only want the back bling have that option. The bundle then adds the pickaxe, emote and wrap for a total price that is lower than buying the main offers individually.

The Deer skin in Fortnite

The Deer is the centrepiece of the Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest crossover. Epic labels the outfit as part of the Gaming Legends Series and lists selectable styles plus time-reactive behaviour on the current Item Shop card.

That is a much firmer answer than the original August teaser gave us. Back then, The Deer had appeared in Fortnite promotional material but its exact role was unclear. It is now confirmed as an Item Shop outfit, not a Battle Pass reward, boss or quest unlock.

How long is Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest in the shop?

Epic’s current listing says The Deer is purchasable until October 16, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time. The Old Axe and Taming Flame pages show the same October 16 cutoff, and The Deer’s Eyes is also listed with that date.

If you want the Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest cosmetics during this Fortnitemares run, October 16 is the date to use rather than the old August release speculation. Fortnite cosmetics can return in later rotations, but Epic has not announced another 99 Nights shop date after this one.

What happened to the August 99 Nights teaser?

The first Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest tease arrived months before the current shop release. Fortnite showed Peely in a dark forest with The Deer, which confirmed the crossover but left the actual content open to speculation.

That older speculation is no longer useful for deciding what the crossover contains. Epic’s October Item Shop now confirms the actual cosmetic lineup, while the official Fortnitemares 2026 announcement names 99 Nights in the Forest among the collaborations arriving throughout October.

Is there a 99 Nights boss, POI or weapon in Fortnite?

Epic’s current Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest material confirms the cosmetic set, but it does not announce a dedicated 99 Nights boss, named POI, Mythic weapon or survival questline. Those ideas came from the pre-release period when players were trying to work out what The Deer teaser meant.

The confirmed crossover for this Fortnitemares rotation is the Item Shop set. If Epic adds gameplay content later, it should be treated as a separate announcement rather than assumed from the cosmetic release.

Is 99 Nights in the Forest really a Roblox crossover?

Yes. 99 Nights in the Forest is a Roblox survival horror experience, and The Deer is its most recognisable monster. The Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest collaboration brings that character and themed cosmetics into Fortnite while the original game remains on Roblox.

Buying the Fortnite cosmetics does not unlock the Roblox game inside Fortnite. The two experiences remain separate, with the crossover focused on bringing The Deer and the 99 Nights visual theme into your Fortnite Locker.

Should you buy The Deer or the full bundle?

If you only want the outfit, The Deer costs 1,500 V-Bucks and its offer includes Old Sack. The full Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest Bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks, so the extra 500 V-Bucks adds Old Axe, Taming Flame and The Deer’s Eyes alongside the outfit and back bling.

That makes the bundle the cheaper route for anyone who wants the whole set. Players who only care about The Deer can save the extra 500 V-Bucks and take the outfit offer instead.

Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest confirmed details

The Fortnite x 99 Nights in the Forest crossover is now a live Fortnitemares Item Shop release rather than an upcoming rumour. The Deer is 1,500 V-Bucks, the complete five-item bundle is 2,000 V-Bucks, and the current shop window runs to October 16.

For players returning to this page after the August teaser, that is the main change: the cosmetic set is fully revealed, priced and available now. There is no confirmed 99 Nights boss, POI or weapon attached to the release.
