Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC? Yes, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, and CD Projekt Red confirms that both expansions are included even for eligible players upgrading from only the original base game.
Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC is particularly important for returning owners who never bought the Complete Edition. The September 29 launch announcement removes the ambiguity: Remastered improves the base adventure and both acclaimed expansions, while the expansions themselves are included in the upgrade.
Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC for base-game owners?
Yes. CD Projekt Red explicitly states that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are included in the Remastered upgrade even for players who only ever owned the base version of The Witcher 3. You do not need to have previously purchased the two expansions to receive them through the eligible upgrade route.
That makes Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC different from a normal graphical patch question. For qualifying existing owners, the upgrade also changes the content entitlement by adding the two original expansions to the Remastered package.
Which Witcher 3 expansions are included?
The included expansions are Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Both receive the wider Remastered improvements alongside the base game, including the updated visual, performance and gameplay work described by CD Projekt Red.
Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC does not currently include the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion in that free pair. Songs of the Past is a separate new expansion planned for 2027, whereas Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are the two previously released expansions included with Remastered.
Do you get Hearts of Stone for free?
Eligible base-game owners upgrading to Remastered receive Hearts of Stone as part of the package. CD Projekt Red’s launch material does not limit the expansion inclusion to people who already owned the Complete Edition.
For anyone asking Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC because their old account only contained the 2015 base game, this is the key change. The Remastered package standardizes the supported version around the base adventure plus both original expansions.
Do you get Blood and Wine for free?
Yes. Blood and Wine is also included in Remastered for eligible upgrading owners. It is not treated as a separate required purchase in CD Projekt Red’s September 29 description of the upgrade.
The answer to Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC is therefore the same for both major expansions. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are included, not just upgraded if you happened to own them already.
What happens if you already own the Complete Edition?
If you already own the relevant supported version with both expansions, Remastered upgrades that package with the new visual, gameplay and performance changes. CD Projekt Red says that on supported platforms Remastered replaces the Complete Edition and includes both expansions as standard.
That means existing Complete Edition owners do not need a second DLC purchase. Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC is primarily a surprising benefit for base-game-only owners, because those players gain content they may never have bought before.
Is Songs of the Past included?
No announcement says the 2027 Songs of the Past expansion is included free with Remastered. It is a separate upcoming expansion and should not be confused with the two older DLC releases covered by the free Remastered package.
When answering Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC, the precise answer is Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Treat Songs of the Past separately unless CD Projekt Red announces a different purchase or entitlement policy for the 2027 release.
Which platforms get the free Remastered upgrade?
CD Projekt Red lists the free upgrade for current owners on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch 2 players who own The Witcher 3 on the original Switch can also claim the Remastered version.
Does Witcher 3 Remastered Include the DLC is therefore not restricted to one storefront. On supported upgrade paths, the Remastered package includes the two original expansions as standard, giving returning base-game owners the complete Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine content without a separate expansion purchase.
