Blade Ball secret quest is now solved
The Blade Ball secret route is now reproducible. Equip Serpentbane, personally eliminate the Serpent Bot, return to the lobby in AFK mode, stand at the Serpent Breakout NPC and wait for another player in the server to eliminate a Serpent Bot. That triggers the Boss Battle button.
Beat the three-phase World Serpent to earn the Serpent Slayer badge, then return to the 2023 Hunt area, cross the giant bicycle to the next island and use the Claim Statue to collect Hands-On Experience. The current repeatable route does not require waiting for Ancient Pyramids as a separate mandatory checkpoint.

Blade Ball Hunt NPC is the special event Knight that appears during active rounds and drops the Tix needed for the 2023 Hunt objective. It does not sit permanently in the lobby, so loading into Blade Ball and searching the spawn area before a round starts will not reveal all three tickets.
The most useful rule about Blade Ball Hunt NPC is that the Knight appears once per round after the match has been running for a short time. Stay alive, watch for the event target, defeat or complete the Knight interaction and collect the glowing Tix pickup before the round ends.
Blade Ball Hunt NPC: when and where it appears

The event Knight appears during a live Blade Ball round rather than at one fixed map coordinate. Wait for the match to get underway, keep moving with the normal homing-ball mechanics and watch the arena for the special Hunt target once the event spawn becomes active.
- Enter a normal Hunt-linked Blade Ball round.
- Survive the opening part of the match instead of searching the lobby.
- Watch for the special Serpent Knight or Hunt target to appear.
- Reach the Knight and complete the required combat interaction.
- Pick up the glowing Tix drop before leaving the round.
- Repeat in later rounds until the event counter reaches 3/3.
Does the Hunt NPC spawn immediately?
No. Blade Ball Hunt NPC appears after the round has been running for a short time, so sprinting around during the opening seconds can make it look as though the event target is missing. Focus on surviving until the spawn window begins.
Keep your camera moving while still respecting the homing ball. Getting eliminated before the Knight appears wastes the round, which is why survival is more important than rushing through the arena at the start.
Does the Knight spawn once per round?
Yes. Current live guidance for Blade Ball Hunt NPC says the event Knight appears once per round. That means the three-Tix objective normally takes at least three rounds rather than one match containing three permanent Knight locations.
After collecting one Tix, return to the lobby or wait for the next round and check the event counter. A 1/3 or 2/3 state is normal progress, not evidence that the remaining Knights are hidden somewhere on the same map.
What does the Tix pickup look like?
After the Blade Ball Hunt NPC interaction, collect the small glowing event pickup connected to the Knight. The drop can be easy to miss in a busy arena, so move onto it before the round ends and check that the Hunt counter increases.
Do not assume defeating or reaching the Knight automatically banks the Tix if the pickup remains on the floor. The objective is based on collecting three event Tix, so the counter is the safest confirmation that each round counted.
Do normal Blade Ball wins count?
Normal victories do not replace the Blade Ball Hunt NPC objective. You can win the round while hunting the Knight, but the event is specifically tracking the Tix collected from the special target rather than your standard win total.
Likewise, normal coins or other Blade Ball currencies are unrelated. Stay focused on the once-per-round event interaction until the Hunt menu shows all three tickets.
What if the Hunt NPC is not appearing?
If Blade Ball Hunt NPC does not appear, make sure you are in an active round and have survived long enough for the event spawn. Leaving early or being eliminated near the start can prevent you from ever reaching the point where the Knight becomes available.
Try another round and watch the event UI rather than server-hopping immediately. Once three Tix are collected, return to the central Hunt hub and claim The Last Deflection as the 2023 reward.
