An Addison Rae Fortnite collaboration may be approaching after Epic Games included two suspicious clues in its latest Hot Bat Summer promotional trailer.
The video was primarily released to showcase Fortnite’s new DC content, including recently added Batman characters and cosmetics. However, players quickly became more interested in the music playing throughout the trailer and the appearance of a character who bears a noticeable resemblance to Addison Rae.
Epic Games has not officially confirmed that Addison Rae is joining Fortnite. Nevertheless, the timing of the trailer has led to growing speculation that she could become the featured artist for Fortnite Festival Season 15.
Why an Addison Rae Fortnite Collaboration Is Being Teased
The clearest clue is the song Epic selected for the Hot Bat Summer trailer.
The video features Fame Is a Gun, a song released by Addison Rae. Although Epic frequently uses licensed music in Fortnite promotional material, the choice has attracted attention because Addison Rae has regularly been mentioned by players as a potential future Icon Series artist.
Using her music does not prove that an Addison Rae Fortnite skin is coming. However, Fortnite has previously used songs, social media posts and carefully selected trailer scenes to build anticipation for collaborations before making a formal announcement.
The song was also paired with another potentially important clue.
During the trailer, a blonde female character can be seen whose appearance reminded viewers of Addison Rae. Players have compared the character’s hairstyle and clothing to looks previously worn by the singer, particularly those associated with her recent music.
The character is not named in the trailer, so it could simply be an existing Fortnite Outfit. However, placing an Addison Rae-like character inside a trailer that uses an Addison Rae song has understandably fuelled speculation.
Is Addison Rae the Next Fortnite Festival Headliner?
Addison Rae is now considered a possible headliner for Fortnite Festival Season 15.
The current Festival season features Laufey as its main Icon artist, with themed Outfits, instruments, Jam Tracks and other cosmetics available through the Music Pass and Item Shop.
That season is scheduled to conclude on July 29, 2026. Epic should therefore begin revealing its next Fortnite Festival artist soon, assuming another season begins immediately afterwards.
The timing makes the Hot Bat Summer trailer particularly interesting. The Addison Rae clues have appeared shortly before Fortnite would ordinarily begin promoting its next Festival collaboration.
Fortnite leakers have also suggested that the next Festival headliner will be a solo artist. That description would fit Addison Rae, although it does not identify her specifically.
Epic has not announced who will headline Season 15, meaning Addison Rae remains a rumoured candidate rather than a confirmed Festival artist.
What Did the Hot Bat Summer Trailer Show?
The Hot Bat Summer trailer centres on the latest Fortnite DC crossover, but several details have encouraged the Addison Rae theory.
| Trailer detail | Why players noticed it |
|---|---|
| Fame Is a Gun plays during the trailer | The song is performed by Addison Rae |
| A blonde female character appears | Some viewers believe the character resembles Addison Rae |
| The character appears during an Addison Rae song | The combination makes the scene appear more deliberate |
| Festival Season 14 is ending soon | Epic is approaching the usual reveal period for its next artist |
None of these clues independently confirms a collaboration. Fortnite contains many blonde Outfits, while licensed music is commonly used to promote updates and events.
The combination of the two clues is much harder to dismiss, though. Epic could have selected any song and any character for the scene, so players believe the pairing may have been intentional.
When Could Addison Rae Come to Fortnite?
There is currently no confirmed Addison Rae Fortnite release date.
If Addison Rae is the next Festival headliner, her collaboration could be announced before or around the end of Festival Season 14 on July 29.
Epic may reveal the new artist shortly before the next Fortnite update, potentially using social media teasers before publishing a full Festival announcement.
A collaboration could include:
- An Addison Rae Icon Series Outfit
- An alternative Outfit or selectable style
- An Addison Rae Music Pass skin
- A separate Item Shop skin
- Fame Is a Gun as a Jam Track
- A themed emote
- A microphone or instrument
- A Back Bling and Pickaxe
- A Festival Aura or Loading Screen
No Addison Rae cosmetics have been officially revealed, so any images claiming to show her completed Fortnite skin should be treated cautiously.
Could Addison Rae Be an Item Shop Skin Instead?
The trailer may be teasing an Addison Rae Item Shop bundle rather than an entire Fortnite Festival season.
Not every musician who receives a Fortnite skin becomes a Festival headliner. Epic has released numerous Icon Series musicians through the Item Shop, sometimes alongside Jam Tracks and emotes without giving them a dedicated Music Pass.
An Item Shop release could include one or two Addison Rae Outfits, along with a cosmetic bundle based on her music and visual style.
This possibility has received additional attention because the character shown in the trailer appears near another music-related Fortnite character. Some players interpret that scene as a hint towards an Item Shop collaboration rather than a Festival takeover.
However, the approaching end of Laufey’s Festival season makes the headliner theory difficult to ignore.
Has Fortnite Confirmed Addison Rae?
Epic Games has not confirmed an Addison Rae Fortnite collaboration at the time of writing.
There is no official skin reveal, Festival announcement, Item Shop date or cosmetic bundle. The current speculation is based on the use of Fame Is a Gun and the appearance of the unidentified character in the Hot Bat Summer trailer.
The evidence makes a collaboration appear increasingly possible, but it does not establish exactly what form it would take.
Addison Rae could become:
- The Fortnite Festival Season 15 headliner
- A standalone Icon Series Item Shop skin
- Part of a smaller Festival music release
- The artist behind a new Jam Track or emote
- Unconnected to any collaboration despite the trailer clues
The final option cannot be ruled out until Epic makes an announcement.
Addison Rae Fortnite Reveal Could Be Coming Soon
The Hot Bat Summer trailer has provided the strongest Addison Rae Fortnite tease so far.
Using Fame Is a Gun as the trailer’s soundtrack may simply have been a licensing decision. However, including a character who appears to resemble Addison Rae at the same time makes the scene feel considerably more deliberate.
With Fortnite Festival Season 14 nearing its conclusion, players may not have long to wait before the next headliner is revealed.
For now, Addison Rae appears to be a credible candidate for Fortnite Festival Season 15, but her arrival has not yet been confirmed by Epic Games.
