PUBG Esports 2027 qualification runs through the Regional Leagues in every phase. Teams must earn a place at the PUBG Global Series (PGS) through their results in that phase’s regional competition, including those that competed at earlier PGS events or previously held Global Partner Team status.
KRAFTON is also redrawing the competitive regions. EMEA splits into Europe, Eurasia and MENA, the Americas split into North and South America, and India becomes a new region. The region of the previous PGS champion receives one extra seed for the next global event, but teams still have to compete for that place.
PUBG Esports 2027 qualification: how teams reach PGS
There are four chances to reach PGS during 2027. Each phase begins with a Regional League and ends with its corresponding PGS. A strong performance in one phase doesn’t carry a team automatically into the next.
For example, a team that reaches Phase 1 PGS has to return to its Regional League for Phase 2 qualification. That gives teams another route in each phase without taking places away through permanent invitations.

Europe, Eurasia and MENA will compete as separate divisions rather than one EMEA region. North America and South America replace the combined Americas region, while India gains its own place in the competitive structure.
The updated regional structure determines where teams compete. The exact number of PGS places assigned to each division belongs to the individual league rules, which KRAFTON will publish separately. The 2026 EMEA and Americas quotas should not be reused for 2027.
PUBG Esports 2027 qualification: extra seeds for champion regions
The region that wins a PGS receives one additional seed at the following PGS. It’s a reward for the region as a whole, not an automatic return invitation for the winning roster.
That additional slot is still decided by the results of the region’s next Regional League. A previous champion therefore has to earn its own place back, while another team from its region can take advantage of the extra seed.
What changes for Global Partner Teams?
Global Partner Teams lose their automatic PGS berths in 2027. The partnership programme continues with a focus on collaborative in-game items and marketing, but every partner must qualify through regional results like everyone else.

Do regional results also award 2027 Esports Points?
No. Regional Leagues decide who gets to PGS; they don’t award the new PUBG Esports Points directly. Teams earn those points through PGS results, and the totals accumulate towards the PUBG Global Championship.

PUBG Esports 2027 qualification: all four phases
Phase 1 runs from late March to early May; Phase 2 from mid-May to mid-June; Phase 3 from early August to mid-September; and Phase 4 from late September to early November. Each window includes its Regional League and PGS competition.
