Warframe Vosfor is the currency you get by dissolving unwanted Arcanes at Loid’s Arcane Dissolution service in the Sanctum Anatomica. You spend it on packs containing random Arcanes, letting you recycle duplicates instead of leaving them unused.
A standard Arcane Collection costs 200 Vosfor and 50,000 Credits and contains three random unranked Arcanes. The October 31 stream can award 100 Vosfor, enough to cover half the Vosfor cost. Here’s how to make up the rest from spare Arcanes.
Warframe Vosfor: How to unlock Arcane Dissolution
Complete the Whispers in the Walls quest, which opens access to the Sanctum Anatomica on Deimos. Speak to Loid and choose Arcane Dissolution. The menu lets you dissolve owned Arcanes into Vosfor and buy Arcane Collections.
Normally, you earn Warframe Vosfor by dissolving Arcanes you already own. The amount shown in Loid’s menu depends on an Arcane’s rarity and rank. A low-rank duplicate and a fully ranked rare Arcane do not necessarily return the same amount.
How to turn Arcanes into Vosfor
1. Speak to Loid in the Sanctum Anatomica and select Arcane Dissolution. Choose Dissolve Arcanes to see your available Arcane collection.
2. Select the Arcanes you want to sacrifice. Check the resource total before confirming. Digital Extremes warns that equipped Arcanes also appear in the list, although the interface warns you if a selected Arcane is currently installed.
3. Confirm Dissolve. You permanently lose the chosen copies and receive the displayed Vosfor. Return to the collection menu when you have enough for the pack you want.
To farm Warframe Vosfor efficiently, don’t dissolve the last copy of an Arcane you use, and avoid sacrificing ranked Arcanes unless you’re certain they’re disposable.
Best ways to farm Warframe Vosfor
| Source | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Steel Path Acolytes | Repeatable source of Primary and Secondary Arcanes while playing Steel Path missions |
| Other repeatable Arcane activities | Run the Zariman, Duviri or Höllvania content you’re already using to farm Arcanes |
| Duplicate Arcane inventory | Convert unused extra copies directly at Loid |
| October 31 Twitch Drop | Possible one-time 100 Vosfor reward after 30 eligible viewing minutes |
For veterans, Steel Path missions with Acolytes are convenient because they produce duplicate weapon Arcanes as you farm other resources. If you’re already running a different mission for a particular Arcane, keep its extras and dissolve them later.
For a repeatable farm, play Steel Path missions until an Acolyte spawns, defeat it for a weapon Arcane, and extract when your other objectives are done. Save duplicate Primary or Secondary Arcanes, then dissolve the extras at Loid. Your stockpile determines how much Vosfor you can make immediately.
What can you buy with Vosfor?
Loid sells Arcane Collections themed around the activity or faction where those Arcanes normally originate. A standard pack costs 200 Vosfor plus 50,000 Credits and grants three random unranked Arcanes from its listed pool.
Collections include groups such as Steel, Eidolon, Duviri and Holdfasts, with more groups added in later updates, including Cavia and Höllvania. Check the current collection’s list before spending, because you cannot select a specific Arcane from the three results.
Loid’s packs give three random Arcanes from the collection you’ve selected. Check its pool before spending. If you specifically need Primary Merciless or Arcane Bellicose, their dedicated farming routes may be more efficient than buying random packs.
Is the October 31 Warframe Vosfor Twitch reward enough for a pack?
No. The special 100 Vosfor reward is half of a 200-Vosfor pack, and the Drop pool has nine other possible rewards. Watch the October 31 Warframe stream from 4 PM GMT for 30 minutes to qualify, then claim on Twitch.
If you receive Vosfor, you can combine it with the amount earned from Arcane Dissolution. Our October 31 Twitch Drops guide covers all ten possible items and the account-linking steps.
Warframe Vosfor: What should you dissolve first?
Before dissolving, remove any Arcane you intend to keep from the selection. Equipped Arcanes can appear in Loid’s list, and the game warns you when you select one. Keep enough duplicates for any Arcane rank-up you’re working towards.
For Warframe Vosfor, use your duplicate Arcanes first, farm repeatable Steel Path Acolyte rewards when needed, then spend 200 Vosfor and 50,000 Credits on the collection containing your target Arcanes.
