Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks have three levels for each permanent class, with stronger abilities unlocked through class-specific challenges or Emerald purchases. Open the Classes menu at the lobby’s class tent, select a class you own and read the requirements for its next tier.

Classes such as Engineer, Guardian and Hunter have very different strengths. Their first abilities arrive with the class, while Levels 2 and 3 demand progression. Emerald shortcut prices can differ, so the upgrade screen is the place to check the actual cost instead of assuming one fixed price for every class.

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks are found at the Classes tent in the lobby. Select an owned class and inspect the three ability levels. Each level describes its benefit, and later levels can be obtained by completing the class-specific quest or spending Emeralds. The class purchase and the perk level-up are separate transactions, so look at both labels.

Level 1 perks

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks come with the class unlock. Engineer gets twice as effective Repair Hammer swings, Hunter receives improved Bear Traps, and Soldier benefits from faster reloads. A starting rifle or turret is equipment, while the listed ability is a passive bonus; both appear in class information but work differently.

Level 2 quests

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks unlock another benefit after completing the specific objective shown in the class interface. If you dislike the requirement, the game also offers an Emerald skip. The quest varies by class, and there is no verified single Level 2 Emerald price for every class. Check the active panel before assuming a cost you saw in an older update.

Level 3 quests

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks unlock the final perk. Engineer gives buildings extra damage at this level, Guardian gains a taunt, and Necromancer acquires a stronger summon ability. As with Level 2, follow the class-specific task or read the current Emerald price in the menu. You cannot skip directly to the final perk without progressing through the earlier level.

Engineer perks

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks are particularly useful to solo builders. Level 1 doubles Repair Hammer efficiency, Level 2 adds 25% maximum building health and Level 3 adds 20% building damage according to current class data. These improvements affect base survival rather than your personal gun’s accuracy or damage.

Engineer quest and Emerald upgrade example

The Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks screen gives Engineer two clear alternatives. For Level 2, build 100 structures or pay 140 Emeralds. For Level 3, construct 250 structures or spend 180 Emeralds. These values apply to Engineer, not every class. If you regularly build turrets, pillars and walls, finishing the objectives is a way to keep Emeralds for a future class purchase.

Other useful combat perks

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks include Soldier’s reload speed, accuracy and fire-rate progression, Hunter’s stronger and eventually resetting traps, and Guardian’s health and defensive abilities. Upgrade the class you actually use. A high-ranked perk on a class you rarely equip provides little help during real survival runs.

Class upgrade costs

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks are paid in Emeralds if you choose not to complete the quests. Unlock prices for the class itself are a separate category: Engineer is listed at 200 Emeralds, for example. Check the Level 2 and Level 3 purchase costs in-game, because public guides do not establish reliable current prices for each individual tier.

How to earn Emeralds

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks can start with two current codes, escape10 and water, reported to award 25 Emeralds each. Go to the Emeralds menu in the lobby, select Codes, type the strings and claim them. Emerald Chests and account milestones provide other opportunities. The published codes guide explains redemption and which older rewards have expired.

Best solo upgrade order

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks depends on the problem ending your runs. For a base collapsing at night, Engineer Level 2 building health and Level 3 building damage offer a clear upgrade path. For dangerous scavenging trips, Guardian’s durability or Scavenger’s movement tools may be more useful. Upgrade a strong owned class before buying another one you cannot yet level.

Troubleshoot missing abilities

Survive the Apocalypse Class Perks by checking the selected class, its current level and the exact wording of the active quest. If the quest is not updating, confirm you are using the intended class during the required action. If an Emerald purchase fails, reopen the Classes menu and compare your balance against the displayed amount. Perks are not the same as the separate Halloween Candy currency.
