Ride A Pet Headless Horseman is the secret Halloween pet hidden behind the Yinyang Cave ritual. To get it, you need one Yin piece and one Yang piece, then enough luck to find the rare Headless Egg when you open the cave.
The regular Halloween Egg from the 350-token shop hatches six different pets. Headless Horseman isn’t one of them, so collecting more candy won’t replace the ritual. Here’s how to find both pieces, open the gate and get your chance at the secret pet.
How to get Ride A Pet Headless Horseman
- Complete Rebirth 1 and enter Halloween World through the pumpkin-tree portal.
- Search the ground for one Yin and one Yang piece.
- Take both pieces to Yinyang Cave underneath the cemetery.
- Interact with the marked gate and place the two halves to open it.
- Check the reward. A Headless Egg is rare, while candy is a more common outcome.
- If the Headless Egg appears, claim it and hatch it to receive the Headless Horseman.
The Headless Egg itself is reported to hatch the Horseman every time. Getting that egg to appear is the difficult roll.
Ride A Pet Headless Horseman: all Yin and Yang locations
| Area | Where to search |
|---|---|
| Candy Drop-Off | Ground around the delivery pad and sign |
| Halloween houses | Along the paths and doorways |
| Cemetery | Above and beside Yinyang Cave |
| Pumpkin patch | Open ground leading towards the pumpkins |
Both halves can appear at once, but spawn locations vary. Community guides say pieces may disappear after around five minutes and return after roughly five to ten minutes, so collect them when you see them instead of waiting.
Where is Yinyang Cave?
The cave is beneath the Halloween cemetery, with a stone entrance marked by a Yin/Yang emblem. Bring both halves to that entrance and interact with the gate. One person can provide both, or players can reportedly contribute a half each when playing together.
What are the Ride A Pet Headless Horseman odds?
October walkthroughs report a 0.1% chance of the Headless Egg appearing from a cave opening, approximately one in 1,000. That figure hasn’t been confirmed in developer patch notes. Even at that rate, a thousand attempts wouldn’t guarantee an egg, so expect plenty of candy rewards between successes.
Can you complete the ritual with a friend?
Yes. Players can reportedly share the work by finding a half each. Current gameplay guides also say that both players may be able to collect a Headless Egg after a successful opening. Check each inventory once you’ve done the ritual rather than assuming a friend’s reward was automatically copied to you.
Why does the cave only give candy?
That means you opened the gate successfully but didn’t get the rare Headless Egg. You’ll need to find another Yin and Yang pair and try again. If the cave never opened, check that both pieces were placed in the gate and that you’re at the actual Yinyang Cave, not the Halloween Egg stall.
Can you buy Ride A Pet Headless Horseman?
No token price has been confirmed for Ride A Pet Headless Horseman. The 350-token Halloween Egg gives Pumpkin Toad, Ghostweaver, Ghost Cat, Raptor, Sabertooth or Skeletal Dragon, while the Headless Egg is linked to the cave ritual. Buying regular Halloween Eggs won’t improve the ritual’s appearance chance.
How long can you try for the secret pet?
Roblox’s event listing gives an October 17 end, while players have seen a longer countdown above the Halloween portal. Follow the timer inside your server for the ritual’s remaining availability. Keep checking the four known spawn areas during candy runs, then open Yinyang Cave whenever you have both pieces.
For Ride A Pet Headless Horseman, the process is repeatable: collect Yin, collect Yang, open the cave and look for the Headless Egg. There isn’t a confirmed way to force it to appear.
