Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV: Treasure Car Location and How to Find It

Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV: Treasure Car Location and How to Find It

The Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV is hidden in the hills of Minamino, and it’s one of the newest cars you can add to your collection without spending any credits. The classic 1970 Citroën arrived with the Horizon Meets update on October 5, 2026, giving players another Treasure Car to track down across Japan.

Finding the little French car is quite straightforward once you know where to look. It’s tucked away from the main road near Shirakawa-go, with a scenic coastal viewpoint providing the backdrop. You can collect it as soon as you reach its hiding place, so there’s no Festival Playlist challenge or lengthy restoration process to worry about.

The Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV is located in the northeastern part of Minamino, just outside Shirakawa-go. The easiest landmark to use is the Shirakawa Curves Drift Zone, with the car sitting almost directly east of its map marker.

Open your map and find Shirakawa-go, then look northeast towards the winding roads in the hills. You should be able to spot a dashed dirt road leading towards a viewpoint overlooking the bay.

Follow that road until you reach a small dirt parking area near the top of the hill. The Citroën is parked towards the back of the clearing, just below the crest.

The lookout faces the water, with the Irabuohashi Bridge visible in the distance. If you’ve reached an elevated parking area with views across the inlet, you’re in the right place.

You can approach from Shirakawa-go or travel through the Shirakawa Curves Drift Zone. Both bring you close to the same hillside track.

How to unlock the Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV

You can collect the Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV simply by finding it in Free Roam.

Treasure Cars work differently from the Barn Finds you might already be familiar with. Instead of unlocking a rumour through Discover Japan progression, you can travel straight to a Treasure Car’s location and claim it.

As you approach the area, Mei can contact you with a photo clue showing the hidden vehicle and its surroundings. The photograph helps you recognise the location, although you can still find the car by heading directly to its hiding place.

When you reach the Citroën, drive close enough for the interaction prompt to appear and collect it. A short cutscene follows, with Mei cleaning up your discovery before it becomes available to drive.

There’s no restoration wait. You can take the 2CV out immediately or leave it in your garage until you’re ready for a drive.

When was the Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV added?

The Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV became available on October 5, 2026, with the Horizon Meets Series 6 update.

Although the accompanying Festival Playlist started on October 8, players were able to find the Treasure Car as soon as the update containing it was installed.

This means you can head directly to Minamino and start searching without completing any of the weekly Horizon Meets challenges.

The Citroën was added as a tenth Treasure Car, expanding the original collection of nine hidden vehicles found around Horizon Japan.

Does the Citroen 2CV count towards the Treasure Hunter achievement?

The Treasure Hunter achievement in Forza Horizon 6 requires players to discover and claim nine Treasure Cars.

When the game launched, there were nine available across Japan, including the Nissan Figaro, Porsche 959, Ford GT and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR.

The Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV arrived later as an additional discovery. The original nine-car collection remains a valid route to completing the achievement, so players who have already earned it can simply enjoy finding another vehicle.

If you’re still searching for the original cars, our Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Cars guide covers their locations and the landmarks you’ll need to recognise.

Is the Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV a Festival Playlist reward?

The Citroën arrived alongside Horizon Meets, but it isn’t one of the Series 6 Festival Playlist points rewards.

You won’t need to complete races, earn seasonal points or spend credits on the car. The only thing required to add it to your garage is finding and collecting it.

Playground Games hasn’t announced a separate collection deadline for the Treasure Car. Its arrival during Series 6 shouldn’t be confused with the temporary rewards available through the 7-Eleven Car Meet and the weekly Festival Playlist.

What to do if you can’t find the Citroen 2CV

If the Forza Horizon 6 Citroen 2CV isn’t appearing where you expect, start by checking that you’ve installed the Horizon Meets update.

It’s also worth making sure you’re looking at the correct part of Minamino. The region already has a Treasure Car near the golf course, but that’s the original Dodge Charger R/T rather than the Citroën.

For the 2CV, head much farther north towards Shirakawa-go. Find the Shirakawa Curves Drift Zone and look for the dirt road heading east towards the coastal viewpoint.

You don’t need to wait for a Treasure Car icon to appear before travelling there. The car can be collected directly from its hiding place, even if you haven’t received Mei’s photo clue beforehand.

Once you’ve found it, the 1970 Citroën 2CV is yours to keep. It’s a lovely little addition to the garage, and taking one of France’s most recognisable classics for a drive around Horizon Japan is a nice change from the usual supercars.
