Hero Wars Mead Festival Generators are five temporary resource producers on the Mysterious Island event map. They unlock gradually and produce Barrel Keys, Great Enchantment Runes, Bottled Energy, Robin Soul Stones or Chaos Particles until the Mead Festival ends.
There is no universal best generator because each one solves a different account need. The Barrel Key generator feeds the event itself, the Robin generator directly helps the new pet, and the remaining three are better when normal account progression matters more than event currency.

Generator upgrades increase resource production and require combinations of Barrel Keys, Asgard Mead and Emeralds.
Upgrading also instantly completes the generator’s current production timer and gives you the resource it had accumulated. A new timer then begins using the improved production rate.

The Barrel Key generator is the most directly self-feeding option because it produces the currency used for the Mead Barrel and for generator progression itself.
Remember that Keys collected from the generator only affect rankings after you actually spend them on Mead Barrel openings.

If the new pet is your priority, the Robin Soul Stone generator is the obvious target once it becomes available.

An upgrade instantly finishes the current production timer and grants the accumulated resource.
That means the timing has value. If you were about to collect anyway and already planned to upgrade, combining the two actions prevents the old timer from simply being discarded.
Do generator Keys count for rankings?
The source of the Keys does not matter. What matters is where they are spent.
Barrel Keys produced by a generator only contribute to personal and Guild rankings once those Keys are used to open the Mead Barrel.

The event ends October 9 at 2:00 AM UTC, so check the remaining production timer and the live upgrade cost before buying another level.
Generator spending versus Mead Barrel spending
This is the central event trade-off. Generator spending improves resource production, but only Mead Barrel openings count toward Guild and personal rankings.
A ranking-focused player may stop generator upgrades earlier. A player chasing Robin or account resources may accept lower ranking contribution in exchange for more sustained production.
Best practical upgrade plan
- Unlock the generator that matches your main goal as soon as it becomes available.
- Collect before long offline periods whenever possible.
- Upgrade when the improved production will have enough event time to matter.
- Use the instant timer completion as part of your upgrade timing.
- Do not spend every Barrel Key on generators if your Guild cares about ranking.
- Keep Asgard Mead reserved if the Shop contains a higher-priority purchase.
