Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver: Where to Find It and Every Use

Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver is the first item to collect in the Phase 2 Hallway, and it is used three times during the puzzle. The screwdriver starts on the floor at the bottom-right beside the purple cushion, opens the small left cabinet, later tightens the radio antenna, and is finally used on Damian after radio station 5.

That repeated use is why the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver can be confusing. It looks like a one-step tool when you first pick it up, but the Hallway expects you to keep it for later instead of assuming the cabinet interaction has finished its purpose.

Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver: where to find it

Enter the Hallway after completing the Entrance and registering three normal battle wins. Look at the bottom-right edge of the room beside the purple cushion and tap the glowing screwdriver on the floor. It moves into your inventory immediately.

If the Hallway itself is still locked, the problem is not the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver. Recheck Phase 1 and make sure all three battle-win indicators are green before returning to the event map.

First use: open the left cabinet

Select the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver and drag it onto the fastener of the small cabinet at the far left beneath Chester’s jack-in-the-box. Open the cabinet, take the handle and fit that handle onto the box above.

Crank the jack-in-the-box repeatedly until the scare plays, then use the frying pan on Damian. The screwdriver stays relevant after this, so do not mentally discard it just because the cabinet is open.

Second use: tighten the radio antenna

Later, install the pendulum in the clock, set the time to 12:00, use the shovel on Damian and collect the antenna from the lower clock compartment. Put the antenna onto the radio before using the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver again.

Use the screwdriver on the radio to tighten the antenna. A loose antenna is the main reason station 5 can appear not to work, even when the correct channel is selected.

Third use: Damian after station 5

Use the radio’s right arrow until station 5 appears, continue the interaction and wait for Damian to react. Then use the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver on Damian. This is a separate step from tightening the antenna.

When that interaction registers, the portrait on the right wall falls and reveals the skull key. The key opens the small safe inside the closet and gives you Shade’s cymbals.

What if the screwdriver does nothing?

Check the room state rather than assuming the Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver is bugged. It only performs the action expected at that point in the Hallway, so using it on Damian before station 5 or on the radio before adding the antenna will not advance the puzzle.

The easiest fix is to identify the last completed scare. If the jack-in-the-box has not been finished, go back to the left cabinet. If the clock has not opened, solve 12:00 first. If the radio is loose, secure the antenna before tuning it.

Does the screwdriver open the Damian Pin safe?

No. The Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver belongs to the required Hallway route, while the Damian Pin comes from a separate four-colour safe under the radio table. That safe uses Purple, Yellow, Green and Red in the four corners.

You can finish the screwdriver sequence without touching the colour safe at all. Likewise, you can return for the Pin after completing Phase 2.

Full screwdriver route

The complete Brawl Stars Find Gus Screwdriver route is simple once you know it repeats: collect it at the bottom-right, open the far-left cabinet, keep it for later, install the clock antenna on the radio, tighten the antenna, tune station 5 and then use the screwdriver on Damian.

After that, collect the skull key, open the closet safe, give Shade the cymbals and wind Shade up to finish the Hallway. Keeping the screwdriver in mind from the beginning prevents two of the most common Phase 2 stalls.
