Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase: All 3-Star Times and Rewards

Arknights Endfield Runners' Steeplechase

Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase opens on October 1, 2026 as a four-track movement event in Wuling City, with star ratings tied to clear times and a separate Chubby Lung Balloon milestone track. The useful part is not simply knowing the event exists: each course has a different three-star target, the later tracks unlock over several days, and the 1,200 Oroberyl total is split between race stars and balloon milestones.

You do not need a highly built combat squad for Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase. The event is built around movement, route choice and avoiding traps rather than defeating enemies. Pavilion Hop and Wind Step open first, Bastion Trek follows on October 2, and Cloud Stroll follows on October 3. That gives you time to learn each route instead of trying to force every reward from the first screen on day one.

The four Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase tracks use different three-star limits. A clean run is more important than collecting every balloon at the same time, because balloon progress is banked separately and even balloons collected on a failed run still count toward Runner’s Milestones.

TrackBalloons1-Star2-Star3-Star
Pavilion Hop9300 seconds240 seconds200 seconds
Wind Step7300 seconds200 seconds150 seconds
Bastion Trek14390 seconds290 seconds240 seconds
Cloud Stroll11300 seconds200 seconds150 seconds

Wind Step and Cloud Stroll have the tightest Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase three-star targets at 150 seconds. Bastion Trek is the longest course and gives you 240 seconds for three stars, while Pavilion Hop sits in the middle at 200 seconds. If you only care about the star rating, learn the fastest line first and come back for off-route balloons later.

How to Unlock Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase

To enter Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase, progress the Wuling story far enough to complete Chapter II Process II: Ready the Easterlies, then use the event entry for the race in Wuling City. Early community listings sometimes showed Process I, but the event data and later published event information point to Process II as the requirement players should use when checking why the race has not appeared.

The courses also unlock in order. Pavilion Hop is the first race. Clearing it opens Wind Step. Bastion Trek becomes available on October 2 at 04:00 server time after Wind Step has been cleared, and Cloud Stroll becomes available on October 3 at 04:00 server time after Bastion Trek has been cleared. If a later Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase track is still locked, check both the date and whether you have completed the previous course once.

Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase Star Rewards

Each of the 12 stars across Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase awards 60 Oroberyl and 10,000 T-Creds, plus a progression material. That makes the star portion alone worth 720 Oroberyl and 120,000 T-Creds. A three-star clear awards the lower-star rewards as well, so you do not have to deliberately finish a course three separate times just to claim one-star, two-star and three-star prizes.

Wind Step40 Elementary Cognitive Carrier10 Arms INSP Set15 Protohedron
Bastion Trek5 Advanced Cognitive Carrier15 Arms INSP Set15 Protohedron
Cloud Stroll5 Advanced Cognitive Carrier15 Protohedron3 Advanced Progression Selection Crate I

The material rewards make repeat attempts at Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase worthwhile even if you are not desperate for Oroberyl. The Advanced Progression Selection Crates on Cloud Stroll are particularly useful because they let you choose an advanced progression material instead of accepting a fixed drop.

How the Vortices and Traps Work in Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase

Pavilion Hop, Wind Step and Bastion Trek use Vortices as speed tools. Running through one gives you a temporary burst that can shorten a section considerably, so missing a well-placed Vortex can cost more time than taking a slightly wider line to hit it. Banana Peel traps do the opposite: stepping on one makes you slip and lose momentum, so avoiding a trap is usually faster than trying to cut directly across it.

Cloud Stroll changes the movement rules by reducing falling speed. The course is designed around long floating jumps and aerial positioning rather than simply sprinting along the floor. If your first Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase Cloud Stroll run feels slow, the answer is usually to use the altered fall speed to stay airborne longer instead of making lots of small corrective jumps.

How Much Oroberyl Does Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase Give?

The full Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase reward pool contains 1,200 Oroberyl. Of that, 720 comes from earning all 12 stars. The remaining 480 comes from the 5, 10 and 20 balloon Runner’s Milestones, which each award 160 Oroberyl. The later 35-balloon milestone still matters for completion, but it does not contain additional Oroberyl.

That distinction is important if you are short on time. You can collect every Oroberyl reward without finding all 41 balloons. For the full milestone reward track, however, you need 35 balloons. Our Runners’ Steeplechase Balloons guide breaks down the 41-balloon total, each threshold and how many you can safely miss.

Best Way to Approach Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase

Treat Arknights Endfield Runners’ Steeplechase as two jobs rather than one perfect run. On your first pass, learn the route and pick up obvious balloons without worrying about the clock. Because collected balloons remain credited even if you fail to finish, there is no penalty for using a slow exploration attempt to build milestone progress. Then replay the course with a cleaner racing line and ignore balloons that pull you away from the fastest path.

That approach is especially useful on Wind Step and Cloud Stroll, where the 150-second three-star targets leave less room for detours. It also prevents the common mistake of restarting every time one balloon is missed. For the other October 1 activity, see our OrbiPom Merge Event guide, which covers the separate web minigame and its 300 Oroberyl reward.
