Trackmania Opel Chase: How to Join, 5 Maps, Leaderboard and Prizes

Trackmania Opel Chase maps and rewards

Trackmania Opel Chase is a five-map time trial competition running from October 9 to October 25, 2026, with a €5,000 total prize pool. You’re trying to set the fastest combined time across all five tracks, so one great run isn’t enough to take the overall lead.

The first map is playable now, with four more arriving on October 17. You can join through the Opel club inside Trackmania, practise the routes as they become available and improve your personal best before the October 25 cutoff. Here’s what to play and how the standings work.

How to join the Trackmania Opel Chase competition

  1. Launch Trackmania and open the Clubs section.
  2. Search for the official Opel club and enter its competition activity.
  3. Open the The Opel Chase campaign or map selection.
  4. Play the available maps and finish valid timed runs.
  5. Keep improving your personal best on each map before the event closes on October 25.
  6. Check the competition’s leaderboard and official rules before expecting a cash prize.

Ubisoft and Opel confirm club-based access. The event is available through the Opel club, though prize eligibility is a separate matter from simply being able to drive a map. Use the competition’s official rules for personal eligibility and how winners are contacted.

The first map is available to practise during the opening week. All five are needed for an overall result once the remaining four unlock. The remaining map names have not been verified from the organiser’s public listing. Check the Opel club when the October 17 Cup maps open; that’s when all five become playable.

How does Trackmania Opel Chase leaderboard scoring work?

The ranking uses your best valid time on each of the five maps, added together. You don’t have to drive all five perfectly in one uninterrupted session. If you improve one personal best, that faster result helps reduce your combined time.

For example, imagine your five best times are 55, 60, 50, 65 and 70 seconds. Your combined result is 300 seconds, or five minutes. If you shave four seconds off one map, your total drops to 296 seconds. Those are sample numbers to explain the scoring, not real leaderboard results or Author Medal times.

The lowest overall combined time ranks highest. There isn’t a fixed points total to farm by replaying a map hundreds of times; better clean runs are what count. You’ll need a valid result on every track to compete for the overall standings.

Trackmania Opel Chase prize money: top 15 rewards

Final placeCash prize
1st€2,000
2nd€1,000
3rd€500
4th€300
5th€200
6th–15th€100 each

Those places total €5,000, as shown on the official competition site. Cash prizes are for eligible competitors with qualifying final positions, and being on the in-game leaderboard doesn’t by itself establish that you satisfy every legal requirement. Review the organiser’s terms on the official Opel Chase website before entering for money.

Will the Opel car plugin invalidate your leaderboard time?

Yes, if Openplanet is left in Developer mode. The competition organiser warns that this enables School mode, where times aren’t saved to the leaderboards and won’t count towards the Trackmania Opel Chase. Switch to Openplanet → Signature Mode → Regular before trying to set competitive times. The official Opel skin from the Opel club works without the plugin and your times still count.

How to improve your Trackmania Opel Chase leaderboard time

Start by completing every available map, even if the time isn’t particularly good. On October 17, establish a valid result on all four new tracks. After that, look at your slowest runs and work on the easiest mistakes to fix. A five-second improvement on a weak map helps the combined time more than another tenth of a second on a track you’ve already mastered.

Learn where you can carry speed through corners, where braking earlier gives a faster exit and which jumps or slides are costing you a clean finish. Rewatch a faster ghost when the game offers one, but compare its driving line with your own rather than simply chasing the ghost’s position.

When does Trackmania Opel Chase end?

The competition closes on October 25, 2026. The first map opened October 9 at 8 PM CEST (7 PM BST), and the other four are scheduled for October 17 at 6 PM CEST (5 PM BST). The organiser has not established a reliable final clock hour across all regions, so check the countdown and official rules instead of assuming submissions remain open until 11:59 PM in your time zone.

Once the event ends, the organiser can validate the standings and contact eligible prize winners under its published terms. Keep an eye on the official competition website for final results and any required prize verification steps.

Is the event part of Trackmania Fall 2026?

The Opel Chase is a separate five-map competition accessed through the Opel club. It isn’t the same as the normal Fall 2026 campaign, which contains 25 seasonal tracks and its own medal targets. Finishing Fall campaign tracks won’t automatically supply times for the Opel leaderboard.

Trackmania Opel Chase is about your five best runs across its dedicated maps. Get the October 9 opening track under your belt, then return when the four October 17 maps arrive. The deadline for the overall competition is October 25.
