Aniimo Sanctum Locations: All 17 Current Names, Chests and Co-Op Rooms

Aniimo Sanctum Locations official Aniimo artwork

Aniimo Sanctum Locations are spread across Idyll as 17 self-contained puzzle dungeons, with 14 solo challenges, three co-op challenges and 54 optional chests in the current launch build. Several names changed after the beta, so an old checklist can now send you looking for a Sanctum name that no longer appears on the entrance card.

This updated Aniimo Sanctum Locations guide uses the current launch names and keeps the older beta names below so you can match old videos, screenshots and map notes to the room that is actually in the game now. It also shows the chest count and player requirement before you travel across Idyll.

There are 54 optional chests across all Aniimo Sanctum Locations. The entrance card is worth checking every time because it confirms the current room name, whether the challenge is solo or co-op, and how many chests are available before you commit to the run.

Which Aniimo Sanctum Names Changed After Beta?

The September 2026 launch build renamed most of the rooms that appeared during testing. The biggest source of confusion is that the old names still appear in older videos and search results. If you are comparing Aniimo Sanctum Locations with a beta guide, use the current name on the left and the older name on the right.

Rising Flames, Rushing Rapids and Courageous Wit keep the same current names. First Spark and Chasing Clouds are especially easy to mix up because both sit in Nimbus Fields and both contain four optional chests.

Which Aniimo Sanctum Locations Need Two Players?

Only three Aniimo Sanctum Locations require a second player: Lightning Gale, Blazing Wings and Courageous Wit. These are genuine co-op puzzle rooms built around paired switches, split routes or complementary trial Aniimo. They are not simply harder versions of a solo Sanctum.

  • Lightning Gale in Berylline Vale uses a two-player Wind and Lightning setup and has four optional chests.
  • Blazing Wings in Sea of Flowers uses Gracewing and Sparki across bridge, fire and fan puzzles and has five optional chests.
  • Courageous Wit in Zephyrus Landbridge uses paired target and movement mechanics and has five optional chests.

The other 14 Aniimo Sanctum Locations can be cleared solo. That means you can complete most of the Sanctum map without arranging a party and return to the three co-op rooms later.

How Sanctums Work in Aniimo

A Sanctum normally gives you the tool needed to solve its puzzle. Many rooms provide a sealed trial Aniimo near the beginning, such as Emberpup in First Spark, Turbo in Chasing Clouds or Fenrier in Frigid Waters. Twine with the trial creature when the room asks for it, then use the supplied elemental or movement ability to open the route.

The optional chest counter is separate from clearing the room. That matters across Aniimo Sanctum Locations because reaching the Sanctum Terminus and restoring the Vein can finish the challenge even if you walked past a chest. Check the counter before touching the Terminus rather than assuming the main route collected everything.

Aniimo Sanctum Rewards and Chest Grades

Current launch data shows the same first-clear reward across Aniimo Sanctum Locations: one Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains and 500 EXP. Repeat clears do not pay that first-clear reward again, so the main reason to revisit a completed room is usually an optional chest you missed.

Optional chests can be Basic, Standard or Premium. Higher grades award more currency and materials, while Standard and Premium chests can also include held items. Because the chest grade is fixed for each position, a harder detour can be worth taking before you finish the Vein.

How to Avoid Missing Aniimo Sanctum Chests

  • Read the entrance card and remember the exact chest total before starting.
  • Activate every checkpoint you pass so a failed jump does not cost a long section of the run.
  • Look behind side ledges, below the main route and around newly opened mechanisms before moving on.
  • Untwine when the puzzle asks the Pathfinder to manipulate a movable object directly.
  • In co-op rooms, decide who is holding a switch and who is moving before either player leaves the platform.
  • Do not touch the final Terminus until the chest counter matches the total shown at the entrance.

Using Aniimo Sanctum Locations as a checklist is much safer than treating each marker as a simple discovery point. The rooms are designed around separate completion and chest objectives, and several of the easiest chests to miss sit just off the obvious route.

Where to Check for Aniimo Updates

Pawprint Studio can change live-service content after launch, so check the official Aniimo website for current notices and game updates. We will keep this Aniimo Sanctum Locations page aligned with the live names and expand the individual walkthroughs as more player-friction searches appear.
