Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting uses materials collected from Material Crates, with craftable costumes becoming available as you progress through the story and other unlock conditions.
How Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting works
| Crafted suits | Maximum health |
|---|---|
| 6 | 120% |
| 12 | 165% |
| 16 | 180% |
| 20 | 200% |
The system looks cosmetic at first, but the crafted-suit count is tied directly to maximum health. That makes Material Crates and the suit menu part of character progression rather than a side activity reserved for Photo Mode players.
Materials: Found in Material Crates
Health: Crafted suit milestones raise max health
20 suits: Reaches 200% health and trophy target
Deluxe suits: Do not replace base trophy requirement
Suit crafting health milestones
Craft six suits to reach 120% health, 12 suits for 165%, 16 suits for 180% and 20 suits for 200%. Those increases apply to Logan regardless of which costume he is currently wearing, so you are not forced to equip the newest suit to keep the bigger health bar.
Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting is therefore one of the simplest ways to make later fights more forgiving. If a boss is deleting health too quickly, finishing another crafting milestone can be more useful than grinding a small amount of XP.
Where the materials come from
There are 68 Material Crates across the campaign. The mission tracker shows whether a chapter still contains an unfound crate, and Mission Replay allows full cleanup after the story. Enhanced Senses also makes searching easier, especially once the Crate Finder Adaptation extends detection range.

For Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting, every unopened crate represents materials that may be blocking the next costume. If the suit menu says an outfit is available but unaffordable, collectible cleanup is the answer.
Adamantium Armory trophy requirement
Adamantium Armory asks you to craft enough suits to fully upgrade health, which means reaching the 20-suit milestone. Deluxe Edition suits do not let you skip the normal crafting requirement. Treat the paid cosmetics as extra wardrobe choices rather than a shortcut to the Gold trophy.
Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting becomes much easier after the campaign because the story has already opened the normal suit pool and Mission Replay lets you target the remaining crate chapters.
Best order to spend materials
If several suits become craftable at once, the health system only cares about the number crafted, not a hidden quality tier. Choose the costumes you actually want to use while pushing toward the next milestone. There is no combat reason to save materials for a suit you dislike simply because it appears later.
That makes Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting pleasantly straightforward: collect crates, craft available base suits, hit the health milestones and use whichever finished look you prefer.
Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting: Do not confuse crafted suits with edition cosmetics
The permanent health progression comes from crafting standard suits, not simply owning every costume visible in the wardrobe. Digital Deluxe outfits add cosmetic choices, but they do not let you skip the normal crafting milestones that raise Logan’s maximum health.
If your health percentage has stopped climbing, check how many standard suits you have actually crafted and then return to Material Crates for the resources needed to reach the next threshold.
Marvel’s Wolverine suit crafting pays off beyond appearance because the standard crafted-suit milestones are the route to permanent maximum-health increases.
Crafting suits is also a health upgrade path
Suit crafting is not only cosmetic. Crafting enough standard suits raises Logan’s maximum health, which gives the system a practical reason to matter even if you already have a favorite look. Current health milestones include 120% after six crafted suits, 165% after 12, 180% after 16 and 200% after 20.
Material Crates feed this progression, so opening them while moving through missions saves a lot of cleanup later. Deluxe Edition cosmetics are separate from the standard crafting path, so do not assume buying an edition automatically replaces the need to craft the regular suits used for health progression.
If materials are tight, prioritize reaching the next health milestone before crafting purely for a color or silhouette you are unlikely to wear. The extra maximum health benefits every later mission and trial.
