WWE WrestleMania 38: Winner of Pat McAfee vs Austin Theory

WWE WrestleMania 38 Pat McAfee Austin Theory

WrestleMania 38 was a very unexpected smash hit, with many expecting it to be a rather mediocre show but WWE really pulled out all of the stops.

We got to see Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns face off in the “Biggest WrestleMania Match Of All Time”, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair put on an instant classic, and even Stone Cold Steve Austin return to the ring for one more match.

One of the more surprising gems of WrestleMania 38 was the match between Smackdown commentator Pat McAfee and Austin Theory.

McAfee is not a professional wrestler, in fact, he is a former NFL player, but his dream as a kid was to be a WWE Superstar.

At WrestleMania 38 his childhood dream came true and it was evident he took the opportunity very seriously, pulling out all of the stops to put on a fantastic performance, eventually coming out on top and winning the match.

In a shocking twist, Vince McMahon then challenged Pat McAfee to a match, which was the original rumored plan before it was revealed Austin Theory would be his opponent.

Mr. McMahon ended up winning the match, but then Stone Cold Steve Austin hit the ring and delivered a Stunner to Austin Theory, and then perhaps the worst Stunner in history to Vince McMahon.

Finally, Pat McAfee took one of the best Stunners, once again showing the pride he took in making sure his opportunity was taken full advantage of.

Although Pat McAfee likely won’t be stepping into the ring any time soon, we really hope that one day he decides to have another match because he has so much potential as a performer.
