WWE interested in resigning FTR

AEW FTR All Elite

FTR, formerly known as The Revival, left WWE in 2019 following years of being underutilized, and the fact the tag team division in WWE is an afterthought for the most part.

Since leaving WWE, the team of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood have gone on to become the hottest tag team in wrestling today, with FTR currently being the Ring of Honor and AAA World Tag Team Champions, as well as former AEW Tag Team Champions.

Now that the team has gone out and become the hottest team in the industry today, WWE looks to be interested in resigning them to their roster.

Currently, FTR’s AEW contract is set to expire this summer, but Tony Khan does have the option to exercise a one-year extension, which it is extremely likely that he will.

Then it all comes down to whether FTR would prefer to go back to WWE now that they’re a hotter team or remain having the freedom to work in many different promotions and countries and continue to cement their legacy.

It was reported at the time of their initial release from WWE that they were offered $850,000 each to stay, with it possibly being increased to $1 million.

Should they return to WWE this figure would likely be higher, but it is clear that the team isn’t necessarily fueled by money and are more focused on becoming this generation’s biggest team.
